congress pretty much made the law just to get jack johnson. his fights were sparking race riots and lynchings, so in many states, it was against the
law to even show a film of them. every white fighter was demolished that they sent against him. that really hurt white pride. then to have him date
white women openly and have such a loud life style was the final straw. white fighters on the whole refused to give another black man a shot at the
title, no matter the weight class, for decades because of him.
that this law was made to just to get him was wrong then and wrong now, and it was done by our congress, that is why he should be pardoned
posthumously. it was done in our name.
