Go to "Tools > Pictures"

Choose to "Upload a Picture" Good image size is like 160 px wide by 250px high?

Then click on your newly uploaded picture

There is a link displayed at the bottom (a URL address actually) you copy and paste to use as an avatar. Copy it.

Now go back and hit "Tools" again in the main bar - you may have to click the little ATS link at the top right to get your menu bar back.

On the "Tools" main screen, look down a bit and you see your avatar section with a blank text field you can put something in for your pic... paste the address you just copied....

Submit...

Presto.
