Also... has anybody matched these ghost cities up with real cities skylines? At least that would prove they are mirages. If there are no cities that match the image then they'll have to look for another explanation.

I remember reading the Daily Mail article about this and someone who understood the language explained in the "comments" section that the locals WEREN'T saying that these were mirages but that the images were like fairyland with all the mist from the river.

No big deal, not mirages but just a very pretty view.

The Story has been reduced on the Daily Mail front page and comments have been disabled and deleted.

Keep on making something of this if you will, but knowing how crap the Daily Mail is at reporting I'm not surprised at the initial reactions to the story.

I think it looks exactly the same but instead of the mist, you would see the river.

Anyone interested in this topic might want to do a quick search.
You will find that it has been posted, discussed, and debunked around 20 times.
(Although "debunk" is a strong word: this is so false and lame in the first place.)

Come on, you guys!
If you can't even look around on ATS before posting yet ANOTHER thread on the same lame topic, how can you think you have the detection abilities to investigate ghost cities?

What was debunked? The fact that it is a mirage or the fact that people can see it? Unless somebody from ATS walked up to it, I don't understand what could be debunked.

I apologize; "debunk" was a sloppy choice of words.

It is "debunked" that it is a mirage.
It is "debunked" that it is a ghost city.
That it is a deliberate HOAX is pretty obvious--the footage of a real city on an island that's covered in mist is passed off as a mirage or ghost city--but yes, that hasn't been officially debunked yet.
Probably because it's way over in China and it's has already gone through several degrees of Kevin Bacon.
But it's not a miracle or anything supernatural.

It's not necessary for anyone to "walk up to it" --aerial photographs and maps show the island city in the mist clearly exists.

Awesome, thanks! I so rarely get a satisfying reason for somebody denying something like this. This definitely clears it up for me.

Blue beam certainly would be something to consider, but here I just dont see the purpose. There has been alot of advancement in the past few years with holograms and the like and I really dont think were that far off from "help me obiwon".

This has already been posted and debunked. Not even a convincing conjob with the color disparity. Want the original thread use the search function.

If you know where it is then post the link. Search doesn't always match up on titles

Only other one that comes up in search is this one
Ghostly City Apparition, China
www.abovetopsecret.com...

And all that has is someone saying do a search

:shk:

Either post a known link or STFU

Spend more time learning how to use the search function and less time typing the peanut gallery comments. I searched for one word and it pulled right up, Xin'an.

There's no mirage, no Project Blue Beam, the buildings are actually there, as is explained, with photos, in the original thread.

I am sick of Blue Beam and HAARP and Occams Razor.

Massive projections is absolute idiotic and pointless - BTW, industry leads the field in this type, you think you can tell Hollywood about CGI and imaginery, (perhaps military can pay for megapixels) the military now ride on the back of software compression from industry. MP4 compression to send images across military band equipment, well MP4 and H264 are all lead by industry.

HAARP - is not that clever, bouncing things off the atmoshpere is old tech, OTHR anyone. Maybe they could bounce an EMP iff the atmopshere, well everything is sheilded anywell, can we leave haarp.

OR - give me abreak, hiding place of the closed minded, justy like the bible. Cant explaint it, blame it on something unproven.

This is a shocking hoax, just made it to Australian news, shocking, maybe certain Media outlets should be given a licence fee. If you want to print any crap, its free.

If you wanted to sell sensational newspapers, its cheap.

But if you wanted to sell honest news, you have to pay a licence fee to display an HONEST badge and that fee goes towards people to audit your stories to ensure you are selling researched papers.

People can the chose if they read the Sun or Mail or News of the World, or the truth as far researched and investigates as is judged possible.

Bahhhh

One not-so-small problem with the mirage theory - mirage images are inverted, i.e. upside-down. That would lead me to believe that it is either a hoax or something strange.

Uh I didn't make a fool of myself. You are misinformed, the only mirages in those pictures are the sihouttes below or above the image. The light house and buildings are physically there. You are the fool, read what you google and stop going by what you see.
