Ghost city appears above Xin’an River

[url=http://www.news.com.au/technology/sci-tech/mirage-of-a-city-appears-in-huanshan-city-in-east-china/story-fn5fsgyc-1226082498230]www.news.com.au[/ url]

IT looks like any other city skyline with skyscrapers, a few mountains and trees - except it isn't real.
The giant mirage appeared across the skyline near in East China earlier this month after heavy rainfall and humid conditions along the Xin’an River.

As mist settled over the river at dusk, tall buildings appeared to rise from nowhere, leading residents in nearby Huanshan City to speculate that the vision may be a "vortex" to a lost civilisation.

Interesting news story - complete with photos and clips of the so called ' mirage'.

I have seen plenty of mirages and this isnt one of them ... its a whole city complete with lights. I know Project Blue Beam has its fair share of sceptics but perhaps this is something indicative of a project bluebeam type of technology?

Certainly caught my eye - not sure if others in China itself may be able to shed more light into the occurance.

Why so you mean there's a portal to another dimension/parallel universe over there? Is this a remnant of Atlantis?

I remember a thread about this in the past 7 days in General Conspiracies, can't remember if it was solved but I do recall at the time nobody in the thread was able to verify how real the video was.

It was said to be a fata morgana, an extremely odd mirage, I suggest using wiki to look it up

pretty neat stuff!

I heard it was a mistranslation and that the illusion was merely that the cities and mountains looked as if they were floating on clouds from the river's mist.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that story seems to be trying to tell us that those buildings aren't really buildings, but are related to water mirages. It is possible for, in the right conditions, a city over a horizon to appear at the horizon, even though you can't see it normally, which this looks related to. But if they are suggesting that this is just something that only looks like buildings, they're insane or covering something up.

Interesting. Hard to say if its real. How do we know theres really not a real city there that the mist and flooded river isnt already obscuring the banks? Hard to say if that is real or fake when you have never been there and likely never go there.

Atlantis? Hardly. Portal to another dimension and a lost civilization? Not likely. I'd take it being New Jerusalem, except Jesus is supposed to come first.

BTW: You have a space in your url close tag. That's why there is no clickable link.

I've seen things like this in hot desert's for instance, you will be on a hill looking at city lights and suddenly it will seem like the city is extremely close to you. It happens but this is really interesting, love me things like this that are great optical illusions. Probably a mix of high humidity, temps, etc similar to what I just described. Was this the same river they were worried about floods not to long ago or was that the Yenghtzi?

I believe that it could be a possible 'Project Blue Beam' experiment. I also think that it could be wrong translation though.

About Blue Beam, I walked outside yesterday to tend my garden and I saw about 8 chemtrails across the sky. While I was out there, just 45 minutes, there were about 5 more jets that left trails. A few hours later, the whole sky was overcast and we were supposed to have clear skies all day.

This has already been posted and debunked. Not even a convincing conjob with the color disparity. Want the original thread use the search function.

I wouldn't be too quick to call it a hoax, here's an interesting picture I found while searching the net on this topic. It could just be a Superior Mirage as they say here: www.pbase.com... and description of superior mirage: www.islandnet.com... and a few other pictures of a superior mirage: outdoors.webshots.com...

I'm with againuntodust.

Anyone interested in this topic might want to do a quick search.
You will find that it has been posted, discussed, and debunked around 20 times.
(Although "debunk" is a strong word: this is so false and lame in the first place.)

Come on, you guys!
If you can't even look around on ATS before posting yet ANOTHER thread on the same lame topic, how can you think you have the detection abilities to investigate ghost cities?

What was debunked? The fact that it is a mirage or the fact that people can see it? Unless somebody from ATS walked up to it, I don't understand what could be debunked.

Debunked? Why would you need to debunk a mirage?

If you know where it is then post the link. Search doesn't always match up on titles

Only other one that comes up in search is this one
Ghostly City Apparition, China
www.abovetopsecret.com...

And all that has is someone saying do a search

:shk:

Either post a known link or STFU
