The Patriot act

The Patriot act, either the most inspired piece of legisltion ever crafted, or the most diabolcal attack on our freedoms ever devised, It all depends on who you ask. So I am asking you, The members of ATS, what do you think of the patriot act and why? The why of course being most important. I'm look for people who have actually read the Patriot act to explain what precise measures enacted by the act they either approve or dissaprove of.
