why were planes scrambled from Langley AFB (130 miles away from Washington) rather than Andrews (10 miles away from Washington) which is meant to protect the the american capital. Makes a large difference seeing the planes scrambled arrived almost 15 minutes after filght 77 hit the Pentagon.

Because Andrews is not fighter base, just because it has a runway and hangers does not mean it has fighter
aircraft.

The only unit there with fighter aircraft was 112 Air National Guard Wing

Langley on the other hand is a fighter base - that is its primary mission. It was one of the 7 air bases on 9/11
with aircraft specifically assigned to act in fighter role. Their job was to respond to perceive threats to US

You didn't ask me to explain the temperatures. You indicated you were going to provide some evidence of molten steel, which you haven't done.

That aside, I think the temperatures came from the fires which burned for 12 weeks. Water wasn't put on them for 17 days in order not to drown potential survivors. The firemen - who you later quote approvingly - don't seem to think there's anything particularly strange about the temperatures reached.

Well here's one tidbit for you- that video is deliberately taking Bill Manning's statement out of context. So if Manning thinks these thermite claims are rubbish...and he clearly does since he thinks the collapse was caused by something else...then why did the "thermite" crowd cherry pick his statements like a bunch of damned phonies like this? Who am I supposed to believe now, Manning or this video producer deliberately misrepresenting what Manning said?

The only "99% undeniable conclusive evidence" I'm seeing is that the conspiracy mongors are quite willing to lie to trick people into believing there's some sinsiter conspiracy afoot.

I don't have the time or energy to go in depth explain this in great detail. But I will give it a go. There was about 2 million kg of aluminum between the planes and the towers. Aluminum melts at 650 celsius and 550 celsius if it's alloyed with certain materials. So the jet fuel could have reasonably turned the Aluminum molten. ALuminum is deadly when molten. And if water becomes trapped under molten metal and turns to vapor it produces a steam explosion as the vapor expands to 1700 times the size of the liquid water. Aluminum, water, lime, ferric oxide(rust) can easily produce a thermite explosion. Actually a simple thermite formula is Aluminum powder and ferric oxide powder. Or molten metal hitting a rusty steel column. Gypsum was in the fireproofing. Water from the sprinklers. Aluminum from the planes and the building. And rust everywhere. Lime with the concrete.

An Aluminum water reaction produces a greater energy release than an equivalent weight of TNT.

2001 Scientiffic American- Ashley established that the aviation fuel fires were significant enough to melt and ignite the aluminum. Aluminum, could then have added to the conflagrations. Hot molten
aluminum could have seeped down into the floor systems, doing significant damage.
Aluminum melts into burning 'goblet puddles' that would pool around depressions, such
as beam joints, service openings in the floor, stairwells and so forth. The goblets are
white hot, burning at an estimated 1800 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, the water of
hydration in the concrete is vaporized and consumed by the aluminum. This evolves
hydrogen gas that burns. Aluminum burning in concrete produces a calcium oxide/silicate
slag covered by a white aluminum oxide ash, all of which serve to insulate and contain
the aluminum puddle. This keeps the metal hot and burning.

Boeing 767 aircraft separately strike WTC 1 & 2 and flaming wreckage becomes
lodged in the upper floors of each Tower.
Combustibles, such as office furniture, paper and plastic, start to burn, fuelled by at
least 10,00 liters of kerosene, and the temperature in the impact zone begins to rise.
After about 30 minutes, the fires subside, but black smoke continues to pour out of both
Towers showing that the fires are not “out”, but “smoldering”.
After about 40 minutes, parts of the airframe in WTC 2 approached the critical
temperature range of 500 - 550C where aluminum alloys starts to soften and melt.
At 50 minutes, molten aluminum forms and starts to flow from the airframe in WTC 2.
The molten aluminum re-ignites some of the smoldering fires and rapidly burns through
other combustible materials that survived the initial conflagration. Molten aluminum also
falls onto fractured concrete, gypsum and rusted steel surfaces inducing violent thermite
explosions, dispersing globules of molten metal and igniting new fires.

Now molten metal explained(it was never proven to be steel). How it got molten is explained. The thermite reactions and explosions are explained.

Let me ask you this. There is a reason people at ALCOA run away when molten aluminum spills onto the concrete floor. Because the reaction is potentially more violent than with tnt. And it isn't infrequent, molten aluminum blows up in molds all the time. Being as the science says this is feasible and quite likely isn't that more reasonable than a convoluted crap for evidence plot from Uncle Sam? I mean anyone that knows anything about molten aluminum or 5 minutes of research can verify any of this.

So to summarize... The probably amount of molten aluminum was about 10,000 kg. Nagasaki was 21 kilotons. THe temp can reach 3800 F in less than a second in the Aluminum reaction thermite explosion. All that was need for the thermite reaction was Rust. Factor in gypsum, Lime and water and you get a mega series of explosions with all of the pools of molten aluminum. And before someone quotes prof Jones trying to debunk the aluminum thermite reaction, he did 2 tests and none of the materials were crushed. And it ought to be obvious that if a plane hit the building there would be crushed concrete and gypsum.

No offense but I think that is far more likely why there is molten aluminum and thermite explosions than someone wiring the place to blow. I could care less about statements about who knew this and that. But the molten metal and explosions have rational explanations. And molten aluminum hitting the steel beams pitting into it and then a reasonable thermite reaction or a steam explosion seems reasonable for explaining the supposed beam cutting.

9/11 Coincidences: There's a series of YouTube videos that brings up many of the unbelievable coincidences which occured on 9/11.


1) In the 100-plus years of steel framed buildings, only three have ever collapsed due to fire. All three were leased by the same man, all three fell in the same way, all on the same day! Coincidence?

2) All three buildings collapsed symmetrically at free-fall speed. "The Law of Conservation of Momentum would have predicted about 45 seconds had there in fact been resistance to the collapse at each floor, but there was no resistance." Coincidence?

3) Firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel, reporters, and many other eyewitnesses all reported explosions going off inside of the buildings, yet this got little attention in the mainstream media and as far as I know no mention in the 9/11 Commission Report. Coincidence?

4) There are more CCTV cameras covering the Pentagon than any other building in the world, yet the government won't release a video showing a Boeing 757 hitting the Pentagon. The only images released to the public did not contain any evidence of a Boeing 757. Coincidence?

5) The September 2000 document "Project for the New American Century" states that if we are going to transform America into tomorrows dominant force, it will be a long process, unless there is a catastrophic and catalyzing event like a new Pearl Harbor. The founding members of that included Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz of the Defense Department, Richard Pearl the head of the Defense Advisory Board, Louis Libby Cheney's Chief of Staff, and John Bolton Secretary of State. They urged that the US get rid of its Antiballistic Missile Treaty and after 9/11 we did. They wanted the establishment of more permanent military bases abroad and that has also happened. Coincidence?

6) On the morning of 9/11, NORAD was in a two week long terrorist drill exercise called "Vigilant Guardian", and this exercise was a simulation of the real terrorist attack on the WTC, involving hi-jacked airliners. On the morning of 9/11 VP Dick Cheney was in control of NORAD, the first time in US history that a President or Vice President was in direct control of a military agency. Generals have always had the power to shoot down or intercept hi-jacked aircraft, but three months prior to 9/11 Dick Cheney was allowed to take control of NORAD and the shoot-down procedure, removing that power from the Generals. Senior FAA officials ordered air traffic controllers to shred the tapes from 9/11, in violation of federal law. USA Today had stories about NORAD conducting exercises eerily similar to 9/11, in which hi-jacked planes would crash into the Pentagon and WTCs. This is in direct contradiction to several government officials claims that 9/11 could not have been predicted.

Exercises were conducted by NORAD during the two years before 9/11 in which they simulated hi-jacked planes flying into the WTCs. The Pentagon also had a drill simulating a hi-jacked airplane flying into the Pentagon. This brought about a sense of confusion when air-traffic controllers thought that it was simply NORAD carrying out those drills. There were a total of 15 exercises going on that day involving the fighter jets in the North-Eastern portion of the United States. NORAD stood down because the terrorist attacks occuring on that day were assumed to be part of the drills that they were running. Coincidence?

7) The official story says that WTC7 collapsed as a result of fire, but the collapse had all of the characteristics of a controlled demolition. The leaseholder of the building Larry Silverstein said the following:

You know we've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it. And they made that decision to pull, and we watched the building collapse.

Blast, shoot, blow, and pull are terms used in the demolition industry to refer to bringing down structures. "Oh we're getting ready to pull building 6". Silverstein has said that he was referring to the firemen inside of the building, he was pulling them out of harms way, however there were no firemen inside of Building 7 according to FEMA, NIST, and fire chief Frank Fileema.

Throughout the summer Silverstein reworked the insurance to make sure it covered terrorist attacks, explicitly stating that he could re-build the complex if it were destroyed. After the destruction he fought in court to get double the insurance policy, maintaining that the double hi-jacking constituted two terrorist attacks, earning him two payments rather than one. He got $7 billion in return for a $15 million investment.

This is about moving the rebuilding forward as quickly as possible. All the finger-pointing must stop.

Some damage to building 7 was caused by debris from building one, however damage to the surrounding world trade center buildings was significantly worse, yet their structures held up. However somehow rescue workers knew that building 7 would fall despite it's minimal damage and set up a perimeter. One characteristic of WTC7s collapse is how the building fell in on itself rather than ourwards, which means that the central column was cut first to ensure that nearby buildings were not badly damaged. This core column cut is verified by the "wedge" which is present during the buildings collapse, a trademark of controlled demolitions. Mayor Rudi Guliani had an emergency bunker inside of WTC7, yet he chose to find a new shelter on 9/11. Lost in WTC7s collapse were thousands of SEC case files on corporate fraud, including those related to corporate giants Worldcom and Enron. The $70 billion California electricity swindle disappeared. Coincidence?

8) Steel melts at 2750°F or above, attained only in a blast furnace or when a powerful incindieary such as thermite is used. Steel will never become hotter than the temperature or heat applied to it. An open-air uncontrolled fire has a maximum temperature of 1200°F. You can fire up the stove all day and your steel pots and pans will never melt. The kerosene fuel inside of the steel tank in a heater can be running all night and day with a maximum temperature of 1800°F, not even causing the slightest damage or weakening to the steel. However we were led to believe that two enormous skyscrapers completely collapsed from some 90 minutes of fires. Massive steel beams were ejected hundreds of feet during the buildings collapse: would fire have the strength to do that?

Open air fires are not hot enough to melt steel, that is a fact, yet molten steel was found at the base of all three towers. The products of a thermite reaction are molten iron and aluminum oxide which is visible at white smoke, both characteristics being visible before and after the towers collapse. Appendix C of the FEMA report describes sulfur residues on the world trade center steel. Sulfur slightly lowers the melting point of iron, and iron-oxide and iron-sulfide had formed on the surface of the WTCs structural steel. Sulfur used with thermite is called thermate, which has a lower melting point producing accelerated results.

The angled cut is exactly the result that shaped charges produce when they slice through steel beams, to control the way the building falls. Hardened liquid metal is visible on the sliced core columns. Coincidence?

9) George Bush's younger brother, Marvin P. Bush, was the director of the company that provided electronic security for the WTC and Washington's Dulles Airport. From 1996 - 2000, Securacom installed what was referred to as a new security system in the WTC. Wirt D. Walker III, a cousin of the Bush brothers, was the CEO of Securacom from 1999 - 2002. Scott Forbes, an IT specialist in a firm that had leased space in the South tower since its erection, reported an unprecedented power down in his building for almost the whole weekend prior to 9/11. The power down meant that there was no security, the doors were basically all open, and the security video cameras were almost all off.

Employees were notified that internet cables were being installed. Others reported that unusual evacuations were ordered that weekend, and bomb sniffing dogs were removed from duty. Despite how aesthetically pleasing the towers were, they were a money-waster because millions were spent upgrading the infrastructure while simlutaneously the attendancy of the towers began to drop. Also decades ago the buildings steel beams had been sprayed with fire-proof asbestos, and removing the cancer causing asbestos would have been almost undo-able. Quotes for this clean-up were as high as $1 billion and no insurance company was willing to bear the cost. After the buildings convenient collapse, a new project is currently in the works.

William Rodriguez, a 20+ year WTC employee, reported hearing heavy machinery such as a large dumpster being moved around on the 34th floor before it's collapse. The 34th floor was previously vacant, and the elevator did not even stop on that floor unless you had a special access key. For weeks Scott Forbes had heard similar noises above him on the 98th floor.

It was almost as if something heavy was being moved, and then it was being taken off wheels, and it was like -- BOOM! Our floor underneath literally shook, you could feel the weight above you. That was how large it was. On one occasion I opened a door to see what was going on, being nosey...When I opened the door the whole office space was empty. There was nothing there at all. It was quite bizarre because it was just empty. Completely empty. Barren. Nothing. Zero. Not even cables hanging from the ceiling, but there'd been these heavy noises and vibrations up above....It was probably the week leading up to 9/11, every morning I'd come in around 7am, and the dust was incredible! It was filthy. It was like the cleaners weren't cleaning. Right where the windows were there was a seal which enclosed radiators and I was sick to death of the dust which was appearing on the window sills. It was dirty gray, and very very noticeable in that week leading up to 9/11, where was that stuff coming from?

Typical official story believer respionse, claiming that our evidence is speculation, lies, and opinions which has been debunked before without backing up those claims. Care to debunk those "myths, half-truths, and mistruths"? Because surely if what I've posted has been discussed and debunked in numerous threads, you can take the time to point out exactly where it's been debunked and maybe paste something for us to see.

If you can take the time to come to this thread and attack the evidence, can you take the time to debunk it?
