What's the history behind your screen names and avatars?

What's the story or history behind your screen names and avatars? My avatar is a symbolic representation of me, the wings are metallic. My screen name is the name of a tool song with some pretty profound lyrics:

Angels on the sideline,
Puzzled and amused.
Why did Father give these humans free will?

My name (Phasma) was chosen because it is Latin for 'phantom' or 'ghost'. My life greatly revolves around the paranormal, considering I am a psychic medium, so you could imagine how that'd fit.

My avatar was chosen, as it is the emblem of the Death card in the tarot. It's a beautifully misunderstood card that represents new beginnings, sudden change, and old doors being closed, with new ones open -- much like how I view life and its entirety.

Jude11 was a name I used when I marked the 11th year that I hadn't seen my son and St. Jude was the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes. ... My son's name is Jude.

My username and my avatar basically are inspired by two of my favorite anime shows. Saya is the main character in Blood+, and the avatar is Re-L from Ergo Proxy.

Avocado Shag was the name of a band I played in; we did covers from the 70's so we named the band after ugly green carpet.

My avatar is from a day trip to Science World with my kids...they were in this dance machine that projected psychedelic images of the dancers on the screen. I thought this one looked cool so I snapped a quick pic with my cell phone. It sort of reminded me of a Scooby Doo episode or something...plus it's a sort of avocado shade of green That's me jon the left, with my son and daughter.

I've had the username forever, and I got it when I started learning Microsoft's Visual programming languages. The miscreant part is somewhat misleading, but I use it because Christ was tried and convicted of heresy, and He has been my hero all my life. The avatar was designed by my wife and is of a texas tree that has been tweeked a little. I plan on designing another one to fit the username at some point, just haven't taken the time...

BTW, under my username the "esse quam vederi" means "to be rather than to appear", and it is our family motto; the signature "de oppresso libre" means "free the oppressed", and it is from my days with the 10th Special Forces back in the 70's and 80's.

Comes from the name of a Black Dragon in a story I wrote long time ago, probably in Junior High, the full name was Golithion Dori, and basically it's even too violent for my tastes now. I was just letting out some anger at the time, I chose it cause of that reason.

My avatar is one of my cars. And a fence where I once lived. Only pic I could get up. Want to put the baxk of one of my girls heads (braided up) or a fancy one. But idk where to get one I like.

I don't know what possessed me to pick my screen name considering my real name is Bethany Hill.

And I picked my avatar because cheeseburgers are my favorite food.

Seriously- boring stuff. Ashley D. is my name (I guess I wasn't in a creative mood when registering lol) and I chose the heart to signify simple and pure love in my posts.
