What the heck is wrong with San Francisco? Nanny state gone wild!!

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and I have generations of family from the city. This is actually not a bad thing because the people are heard and things are put onto ballots. Leaders do what the people ask for and then it gets a vote. Doesn't mean it will pass. Some of the stuff is cooky but that is how things should be...everyone gets a voice regardless of how big, small, ridiculous.

There was a lady using the commuter lane (must be 2 in car or more). She was alone. Took it to court because she was pregnant at the time. I thought that was ridiculous but the point of it is that she was "able" to take it to court. I'm not so sure a Judge in another state wouldn't throw that right out. Dumb stuff like that sends the message to people that you have a voice so it suddenly becomes significant.

I got a bit sick of some of the stuff that would get passed but in the end its good people feel free to ask for what they want. The circumcision thing wont pass (or it will be heavily in National news, and if gets passed will get repealed, etc, etc).
