China Warns U.S. To Stay Out Of Sea Dispute

www.huffingtonpost.com

BEIJING (Reuters) – China urged the United States on Wednesday to leave the South China Sea dispute to the claimant states, saying that U.S. involvement may make the situation worse, its most direct warning to Washington in recent weeks.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai's comments to a small group of foreign reporters ahead of a meeting with U.S. officials in Hawaii this weekend come amid the biggest flare-up in regional tension in years over competing maritime sovereignty claims in the South China Sea.

Well here we go again...some more posturing and warnings from China. I guess they will only take so much before they release the wrath. Its only a matter of time I guess before this situation either gets better or worst, but giving the state of the rest of the world I bet it will get worst before it gets better.

Just more sabre-rattling by the media... that's right, the media.

This was not an official warning to the united states like the headline suggest, but off-hand comments made at a completely different function.

Mass media always make every event look 10 times worse than it is when it sells more issues and brings in more ratings.

First - this involves Taiwan... a little plot of land China would seem to prefer not exist at all. The people who live there claim to be independent of China... China believes otherwise - but God can't make people love and worship him, and the Chinese have not yet figured out how to make Taiwan do the same.

Second - this also involves Malay and the Philippines. Which may as well directly involve the U.S.

The core of the issue is China looking for oil and natural gasses. They are contesting the territorial waters claimed by these smaller nations as they seek to secure more resources to supply their growing demand for energy.

The U.S. and Philippines have a pretty good relationship - and there has been growing interest in the nation from our industrial sector (the Philippines tend to be less of a one-sided business deal, as it is with China). This also has the potential to involve the RoK - which will not go unnoticed.

Really, if the U.S. decides to enforce the territorial claims of these smaller nations - there's nothing China can do about it but piss and moan. Their Naval capability would merely be a nuisance to the carrier battle group out of Yokosuka. Their Akula and Kilo class subs are really the greatest threat out there - but with the combined effort of the smaller nations - China would walk away with some severely damaged pride.

As Tom Clancy put it in "The Bear and The Dragon:" "Your dicks aren't big enough to get into a pissing match with us." (Diplomacy with China at its finest).

China is not stupid enough to start a war with the US or even tiawan. Even that pipsqueak nation could drown half of china by hitting the 3 gongs dam and following up sinking tankers in critical trade routes. Mass starvation would ensue in a couple of weeks, casualties in the 10's of millions. It would be suicide!

If it got into a shooting match and we ended up sinking their National Pride, their Shi Lang Aircraft Carrier......

You'd see the protests in China stop and 1.3 Billion screaming chinamen who wouldn't stop until every white man was dead.

Vietnam might be tricking us....we're so desperate to get them on our side we just started "cleaning up" the Agent Orange hot spots over there....the Vietnamese I bet are going to stab us in the back...there's no way they will truly be our friends after what we did to them.

The Philippines isn't even really a friend to us and gives us.....problems...at times trying to do things there.
