59-year-old man has been jailed in Gastonia, N.C., on charges of larceny after allegedly robbing an RBC Bank for $1 so he could get health care in prison.

All in all, I agree with his decision. That this kind of thing happens is just embarrassing. This isn't the first time something like this has happened, either.

The saddest thing about this article is that our inmates are treated better than our law abiding citizens. Our country is in worse shape than I originally thought.

Silly man ,he should have stolen a loaf of bread so he would get sent to the colonies in Australia.
we love crims here,Our greatest national hero was Ned Kelly .And we have free health care if you dont mind waiting for a bit

This is nothing new. For many inmates, their free health care when they're inside is the first access to doctors that they've ever had, while on the outside, law abiding citizens can't afford healthcare.

It's a travesty.
