Just a thought on where the energy comes from that drives the expanding Earth theory. Since the Universe is expanding in a vacuum would not all that is in it expand as well just like marshmallows in a jar that is subjected to a vacuum pump?... They don't have to have any extra energy to expand... so it should be the same with all matter in our "universal jar".

So, if I read your words correctly, that explains why I have had to periodically let air out of my car's tires. Also, I've had to keep doing this more and more frequently, as recently as 9am this moring and again at 2pm. I suspect the Lemon Comet (SP?) is responsible. Anybody other than me understqnd physics here?

The Earth is slowing down on it's axis and expanding at the undersea ridges. If you think back to when the Earth would have been smaller, more round and the continents were all joined together. Then the centrifugal force lessened as the Earth slowed, the molten core expanded allowing the bulge at the equator. Take a look at the mid Atlantic ridge and you can see the continents match up perfectly to the fault line. The density of the material at the Earth's core is around 12g per cubic cm, and only 4g at the surface so it lightens and expands as it comes to the surface. So one day when it expands to its limits, we all go bang and we're the new asteroid belt in town. The end.

Unless you want to believe the continents unhinged themselves from the earth and drifted around like logs on water

I'd say the earth expands because it converges energy ( sunlight ) in to matter. Or possibly because in the hollow interior the Earths inner sun has been loosing gravity...

Continents floating like logs on water ? How silly...

Inside the earth, there is a nuclear oven ... whatever the workings of it, it is the cause of the inner movement that causes the magnetic field. Whatever the workings of it, or whatever sort of nuclear fission or fusion occurs, a hypothesis. What cannot be ignored, is that space is not a vaccuum. Space is full of matter, dust, particles ... that bombard the planet. Our plants take up energy from the sun, to build molecules and bindings, that eventually build up the mold we walk on, and plant our crops in. Subduction of this matter, creates fuel for the inner mechanism, and eventually creates new sediment within the cracks of the outer crust.

The expansion of the earth, is obvious ... without it, there would be no planet. The planet must have been created from particles from the Big Bang, within the space. However note, that the space we live in, is equal to the dot of the original plasma, before the Big Bang. The material is equivalent, only the densitiy within this droplet that collects as water driplets on glass that collects in places, creating space in between. Material from other driplets, collecting into making the earth ... a process, that must be an ongoing process ...

The gravity of the earth is increasing, this is why our ancestors could build stonehenge with their bare hands and stoneage tools. This is why the Pyramids could be built, and why the dynosaurs were larger. The fact, we can see this, and the fact we wrote the hystory, and this happened in our ancestors memory. Suggests that our "aging" of these things is wrong.

However the earth expansion theory, exagerates the size of the globe in the beginning. It does not take into account, that mountains need to be flattened out and the mantle need to be evened out. If this is taken into account, you would get a much more "reasonable" globe size, and the theory woul start to fit more with reality. However, to be noted, is that the expansion occurring is an event that started after the mantle cooled enough to make a crust ... suggesting a recent change in the inner core.

What is more interresting in my opinion, is the effect the magnetic field has on a falling "ice cube". This ice cube, would fall on the north or south pole, depending on the direction of the magnetic field (i.e. wether the magnetic south, is south or north as it is today). If such an "ice cube" (comet part, or asteroid) falls on the poles ... the ice would make an instant icing ... which explains why the mammuts froze while eating. It also explains why there are "several" ice ages. And the global warming is therefore a natural phenomenon, between these there is a normal warming period.

Everything we see, has a natural explanation ... the mechanism in the earth will always be hypothesized, until we can fully recreate it ourselves, or see it for ourselves ... but it is, non the less, there ...

We can thank our luck, that we are not walking on continental plates that float on hot lava and may sink if we tip it too far :-)

@ eastbosbud,

You may have a valid theory, as the gravity decreases a compressed mass will necessarily have to expand, although there will be no increase in mass, volume will show an increase. Large amounts of heat would also be absorbed by any expanding matter.

Many seem to confuse volume with mass. A cannonball, although smaller in volume than a beach ball has a greater mass, its density is greater.

Any slow changes in the variables of Gravity,Mass,Velocity would be extremely difficult to detect as they are all relative to one another and the time constant has yet to be ascertained.
It’s not an increase in mass just volume, due to reduced gravitational pressures.
Keep up the good work eastbosbud your on the ball! The big blue one.

Where did you get the idea that the Earth is expanding ? Indeed the Earth is expanding. It is proven by the Plate Tectonics Theory which is no longer in doubt. Since Plate Tectonics Theory is now widely accepted as real science, we can use it as the foundation on which to show you that in fact the Earth began as an object about the same diameter as the Moon is today. At that time it was originally an Ice World. Oceanic. Without any land masses. It is theorised that around 65,000,000 years ago which interestingly coincides with the demise of the dinosaurs the Earth began increasing in its diameter to become the diameter that it is today. Thus the continents breaking apart and seeming to drift to their present locations. Now this is where it gets to be interesting because although the Plate Tectonics Theory is widely accepted nevertheless the consequences are very revealing. The only way around the contradictions is to postulate that the Earth is a hollow sphere of crust held thus my magnetism between atoms being the stronger force contrary to gravity being the weaker force. Thus Plate Techtonics Theory and the Expanding Earth Theory are clear proof that all stars and planets are hollow spheres. Since stars and planets are hollow thus it is easy to understand how the gravitation of the Moon has caused the Earth to swell in its diameter. One can imagine that originally the Earth was alone and that the Moon showed up 65,000,000 years ago causing the demise of the dinosaurs and causing the Earth to come apart expanding in its diameter to become the diameter that it is today. Indeed I remember being informed that the expansion continues. Since according to my theory the dinosaurs were living in a world that was fully covered in water, therefore I speculate that the dinosaurs were not air breathing. In my theory I speculate that dinosaurs were actually water breathing animals with gill structures the full length of their neck. Such gill structures would not show up in the fossils since they are soft tissues. Moving around in the water using their heavy bones [stones] as counter weights to hold them under the water walking about on the ocean bottom. Using their long necks to catch fish swimming around them. Thus I speculate that the dinosaurs did not actually die out as is believed by scientists. They are still alive on the ocean bottom. When we eventually build submarines that can descend to such extreme depths we will be astonished to find herds of gigantic dinosaurs roaming about on the ocean floor feeding on species of fish and creatures that are thought to have died out over 65,000,000 years ago. The changes that came onto the Earth caused otherwise water breathing creatures to develop into air breathing animals. Fish scales became reptilian scales and feathers too. Fur and hairs are much the same as the scales of a fish. So in my theory the dinosaurs were and still are very much nearer to being fish than anyone has previously speculated.

I think you should check out the next generation of the Earth expanding hypothesis scientists.

Luckily I know of a great thread on topic, created by yours truly.

It's called : The expanding Earth hypothesis

It includes the ideas of Dr. James Maxlow with links to his written thesis on topic and one of his lectures on topic.

His explanation is a little different from yours, but I think you will like it... I recommend watching the videos.
