If you want rice, go to your local Asian market and get the GMO free ones. There are plenty out there...

BH,

Thanks for your comments. I have heard so many stories about allergies, and gluten
reactions in the last few years, its alarming.

I need to do some more research on it, however I might add someone posted
that wheat has been GM engineered to contain more gluten, unnatural so it makes sense
then that some have in increased allergy from wheat.

I think I am going to do a bit more research on the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. This makes me furious. I wish I paid more attention to Alex Jones earlier. I used to think that he was crazy when he said that these billionaires were depopulationists. But now I don't actually think he is that crazy anymore. When you have Bill Gates going around like this supporting Monsato it becomes clear that Bill Gates is an enemy of humanity and his entire plan to help people is based on a fraudulent elitist ideology. UGH.

GM soya has decreased yields by up to 20 percent compared with non-GM soya. And up to 100 percent failures of Bt cotton have been recorded in India. This in turn has spurred a staggering number of suicides among India’s farmers. According to the National Crime Records Bureau of India, more than 182,900 Indian farmers took their own lives between 1997 and 2007, potentially due to GM crop failures. An estimated 46 Indian farmers commit suicide every day.

The tragedy in India still occurs, just not quite as high as it was.

Thanks for your comments, and good call to bring this topic into the game discussion.

food is food. who is to say the seeds you plant on your own didn't come from GMO. Just because it does not say it does not mean it isn't true. You might even find what might be a wild crop of some sort growing who is to say it wasn't germinated by a gmo plant miles away.

I care less when I'm tired but who knows everything now days might be GMO including whole foods.

Wow, never knew I was eating rice bombs. What next, bread that have tiny blades in them that can be activated with the touch of a button?

I think "Misled" is an understatement

I view the situation more like.."being stuffed in the ___ by Monsanto".

Monsanto and Wilhelm Gaetz teaming up to control world resources of food through genetically modifying rice.Do these people just look at $ signs all day and have no respect for what is right for the world. This combination of power, money and way of thinking is quite backwards for the betterment of earth.I hope they fail.I'm glad people are starting to recognize.

I'm Agnostic ; but i believe Monsanto is Satan

They need to do more testing before they start feeding humans food that has been genetically modified.

I think food grows in its local area to best fit the locals who consume the food there.

So this may not be a wise thing to tamper with nature in this way.

Monsanto should change its policy or cease to exists.

It is really about profit. I've noticed that Alternative News tends to focus primarily on Monsanto, but Bayer and Aventis-Bayer CropScience started it long before Monsanto did. It's complete profit for them....

Imagine for a moment.... that you work for a pharmaceutical company and technically the only way to increase your profits is if more people get sick and have to buy medications as a result. And part of your pharmaceutical company has a "crop science" section. You sell pesticides, herbicides, and suddenly they allow you to sell GMO seeds. You can hit the public 3 ways to increase your profit as a pharmaceutical company.
#1) you can sell harmful pesticides thru your crop science section. If people get diseases like cancer, then not only do you profit selling the pesticide, but you profit off the meds the sick have to buy.
#2) you can sell GMO seeds to farmers thru your crop science section. If people get stomach illnesses, intestinal and digestive tract problems--then you increase your profit double. Both in selling the seeds and in the meds that the sick have to buy.
#3) you can sell injectibles to livestock animals (claim it's to bulk weight or things they don't need like antibiotics for illnesses the livestock doesn't have). If people get sick from eating livestock injected with various substances, then you as a pharmaceutical company profit--the sick people have to buy your meds. If bacteria mutate in response to the unnecessary antibiotics given to livestock, then you increase your sales because you as pharm company have to create new meds.

So yes. It's all about money. The Hippocratic Oath meant nothing to most of these people at the top rank of pharmaceutical corps.

Bayer and Aventis-Bayer Crop Science are about the only group with a criminal history and during WWII, some of them were executed for their criminal experiments on humans and meds. But since WWII, they've been repeatedly sued (ex. StarLink corn - GMO). To be sued is only a small fraction of the billions they make when they sell products thru crop science that make people ill. To criminally prosecute them again, you'd have to prove in a court of law that it was intentional for profit (or racial--that they sell one product to a race in a 3rd world country but intentionally don't sell it to their own race).

Monsanto and its corresponding pharmaceutical corp---they are just following Bayers lead. And everyone else that jumps in just does it for the money (including some politicians or hired employees of the FDA).

To tell you the truth this shouldn't be really Bill and Melinda's fault. Imagine, you had all that money and want to donate it and you are not a conspiracy theorist. You are contacted by Monsato claiming to want 20 minutes of your time for a revolutionary idea that could curb world hunger....

You give those professional speakers 5 minutes and they will convince you why this product is safe and the thing that will save the world.

That is how this thing works. You are sold the idea.

This is always what they claim but these people are either used as test subjects or they take their natural resources.

Whenever Monsantos gets involved it's never to help people. It's always to reduce or take away something...

Exactly

This is what happens when you let people "who don't give two #s" become the social dominant king pins with nukes and super-sonic jets and spaceships

You would be quite right if it weren't for their foundation's activities and track record. They are guilty time and time again of supporting programs that act like trojan horses. Vaccinations are a good place to look at as well as education. They couldn't possibly be that naive.

Thank you for that addition to the thread!
From your link...

Ironically, the stores were not plundered for those plant materials; the seeds were dumped in disarray onto the floor of ransacked buildings in two cities. The looters merely ran off with the airtight plastic and glass jars in which the seeds had been kept. www.sciencenews.org...

Makes one wonder why anyone would do that, there must have been some other motive aside
from gaining empty jars.

The company Monsanto is just the symptom of the disease. People think it's the CEO's and executives that are evil (and many are indeed) but replace any of them and you'll still get the same thing. Corporations this big with this much pull in a field (no pun) are like weeds that if you cut the parts that are visable (outside the dirt) it will grow again. Only until you eliminate it's roots would you have a chance for it to die. CEO's and execs aren't really the problem that allow this evil to happen, for that you would have to look at the share holders. I know owning shares of a company is considered an American right, but it is exactly that want of short term gain on an investment that allows companies like Monsanto to continue it's destructive path. That's where the real greed lies.

This is all about the "Culling" -- these seeds are designed not only to NOT reproduce, but to cause sterility in those who eat them -- and other malfunctions. They will create "famine by design."

Indeed, one has to question the motives of those who work constantly to engineer food
that causes sterility.

"They" are open with the fact that they want to control the worlds population, so it
only stands to reason they know what they are doing, and its intentional.

You do know that these genetically engenered seeds that are provided or sold cheaply to Africa or India, are designed to produce only one crop and produce no viable seed from that crop for planting the following crop. So these buyers must buy every year from Monsanto..... a monopoly, or very dangerous at best. Monsanto needs to be brought down..... and taken out of bussiness the same way they are destroying agriculture. Genetically modified can never be a good thing, God doesn't make junk.............

There is 400 acres of Roundup ready rice just out of my backdoor. My dad is a retired rice farmer and has leased his land to a younger farmer who grows it. Just try to convince these farmers that it's bad and they should go back to fighting weeds in their fields that lower the grade of the rice...NOT likely. They are all sold on it. It is tough enough for a small (under 2000 acres) farmer to make it against the corporate farmers already.

When you try to discuss it with them they just blow it off when you get to the genetic engineering part and say,"Ah I don't know anything about all of that...all I know is, we don't have to deal with red rice (a common weed/rice) anymore, and that's all that matters.

It's a lack of knowledge on their part. These are hard working, intelligent guys that didn't go to college for the most part and the science behind all of this GM is overwhelming to them. Add to that, the county extension agents who provide guidance for a lot of farmers about the newest innovations in farming, are backed by the government and hence, Monsanto.

Contrary to many peoples opinions, farmers aren't big wheeling and dealing bigwigs trying to manipulate their market, they are mostly (Megefarmers excluded) just trying to make it and keep their farms from going under and being thrown into the poorhouse. They are literally being led around by the nose by the government, being told what and how much they can plant on their own land.

Cereal companies are also shaping the landscape by only buying specific types of grain for which they are subsidized by the government for using.

It all comes from the top. Monsanto is perched firmly at the top.
