Scientists are reporting development of the first self-powered nano-device that can transmit data wirelessly over long distances. In a study in ACS’s journal Nano Letters, they say it proves the feasibility of a futuristic genre of tiny implantable medical sensor
Zhong Lin Wang and colleagues explain that advances in electronics have opened the door to developing tiny devices that operate battery-free on minute amounts of electricity that can be harvested from the pulse of a blood vessel
The device consists of a nanogenerator that produces electricity from mechanical vibration/triggering, a capacitor to store the energy, and electronics that include a sensor and a radio transmitter similar to those in Bluetooth mobile phone headsets. Their device transmitted wireless signals that could be detected by an ordinary commercial radio at distances of more than 30 feet.
This study proves the feasibility of using ZnO nanowire NGs for building self-powered systems with capability of long distance data transmission, clearly proving its potential application in wireless biosensing, environmental infrastructure monitoring, sensor networks, personal electronics, and even national security.
Research was supported by DARPA (HR0011-09-C-0142, Program manager, Dr. Daniel Wattendorf), BES DOE (DE-FG02-07ER46394). Thanks to Dr. Yong Ding for help with TEM

Get the microchip implanted in your left hand. Problem solved
As far back as 1973, Senior Scholastics introduced school age children to the concept of buying and selling using numbers inserted in their forehead. In the September 20, 1973 feature "Who Is Watching You?" the secular high school journal speculated:
"All buying and selling in the program will be done by computer. No currency, no change, no checks. In the program, people would receive a number that had been assigned them tattooed in their wrist or forehead. The number is put on by laser beam and cannot be felt. The number in the body is not seen with the naked eye and is as permanent as your fingerprints. All items of consumer goods will be marked with a computer mark. The computer outlet in the store which picks up the number on the items at the checkstand will also pick up the number in the person's body and automatically total the price and deduct the amount from the person's 'Special Drawing Rights' account."
However, if widely deployed at some future point, implantable GPS devices could conceivably allow authorities to locate missing persons and/or fugitives and those who fled from a crime scene. Critics contend, however, that the technology would inevitably be used for more sinister purposes. Governments could use implants to track and persecute human rights activists, labor activists, civil dissidents, and political opponents; criminals and domestic abusers could use them to stalk and harass their victims; slaveholders could use them to prevent captives from escaping; and child abusers could use them to locate and abduct children.
Another suggested application for a tracking implant, discussed in 2008 by the legislature of Indonesia's Irian Jaya would be to monitor the activities of persons infected with HIV, aimed at reducing their chances of infecting other people
The Bible references the mark as being visible on the skin of your right hand or forehead.

Or in your leg, foot, chest, anywhere else other than the prophecied area. Near anything could be the "mark of the beast" especially with the advent of nanotechnology and other new techs, but that doesn't mean we should stop developing such devices. Now if the government says one day that everybody MUST put a microchip in their forehead or else, well then I'll be worried.
The battery is made of lithium. It is charged for life by the body heat fluctuations. The battery has a thermal recharging circuit that utilizes fluctuations in your own body's heat. It recharges the lithium battery and it remains charged for life. Organizers and planners spent 1.5 million dollars of medical research money, (tax payers money) to analyze the two best parts of the body in which to implant this thing in order to take advantage of maximum degrees of temperature variation. After months of research and 1.5 million dollars, they determined the two best places to implant it would be first, the right hand, and if you were missing your right hand, your forehead.

Do you realize we are already dependent upon the government for:
1) Food
2) Water
3) Shelter
4) Protection
5) Electricity
seems like all we need is the right "disaster" or "terrorist attack" to implement this. Only if you want to enter a "safe zone" of course (for security purposes).

Whats sort of disaster could be used that would make even the most die hard to move location but before being allowed to be placed within a safer location...well here is one method that could be used, its currently being posted as break alternative news, but the concept is what more than likely would be used to move/tag and organize the cattle.

I always figured it would be nuclear but i think they will have to "protect" us. A "home grown" terrorist cell will infiltrate us and we won't know who is who...... For the sake of national security "get the chip".
