Of course they don't want a US missile shield. If they can't hit us, but we can hit them, wouldn't that make you nervous if you were them?

It's like if we agree to shoot it out at dawn, but I get to be in a house with a rifle, whereas you have to walk aross a open field with a pistol. The outcome will never be good for the guy in the field.

I find it ridiculous how they can be acting this way to be honest. Why an earth should anyone share the missle shield with them?

If they don't like it, why don't they go invent or make something of their own ...

good luck with that unless we all give them all up it dosent matter because even if we get rid of icbms we still have bombs if we get rid of land based we still have sea based nukes at least weapons aint going anywhere unless something scaryer or more effective comes around we just have to hope we turn it on and get ours built first why cant russia get the fact the cold war is over and were not wanting to or problay never realy did(other then the crazys in the military) want to nuke russia and besides they have more nukes then us so why are they so worried? if any one should be bitching its china and iran because a missle sheild can almost completely negate china's 200(last time i checked at least thats how many they had) icbms the sea based ones are the dangerious ones

Be nice if we (Britain) could roll out a few longbow platforms around the UK.. (France and Italy are already doing something similar with with the medium range SAMP/T anti-ballistic missile system)

marry that into the US platform would be a real poke at the bees nest.

I see The New Great Game is alive and kicking.

Central Asia is Key. The vast untapped natural resources are in play. Russia would like to limit the regions productivity so as not to have more competitors for Chinese and EU markets for fuel and mineral customers. China desperately needs those resources to keep their economic machine rolling. The US/West want to have an influence in the region so as not to be economically steam rolled as it is surpassed by upcoming growing markets.

Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan are on the front line.

The US will start reviewing their financial support to Pakistan. In which case China will step up and fill any gap if the US stops or reduces their support. Russia has recently raised a stink about US naval vessels in the Black Sea. Libya has become the EUs new ugly stepchild Frankenstein project. Syrian authorities are running scared. The whole dynamics of the region will look vastly different in the next 5 years or sooner. Hold on to your butts as new alliances are forged. The missile shield IMO has nothing to do with Iran or Russia for that matter. The US/West are putting this in place as other newer economic powers grow "China and India"

As the West is eventually eclipsed in affluence and global influence some feel that the missile shield would buy them some sort of security. 21st century Maginot Line?

Time will tell.

The Rothschilds are not of Asian decent. They dont want China to be leaders of the world so it wont happen.

Why grow up? What he says is pretty much true. Attack on your government does not mean attack on the governments people.

There is a lot to it then what the MSM publishes about the global politics. Geo politics is huge and every single participant is power hungry and crooked. It is not a small subject. It is a very very diverse and complicated subject that is very very hard to understand. The missile shield is probably just another game/tactic/distraction like several others that other countries including China and Russia are good at.

I am going by what the poster said, and he is right. America is still the number one super power, and they are begining to p*ss off more and more people with their illegal wars. Off course other countries are going to be worried about America and start bigging up their defences. America has alot of recent history on starting pointless wars that have killed thousands of people. But its not just me saying it, as alot of americans have voiced their anger at their government, and basically how they are destroying America.
