• Can Masons from the York Rite enter a Scottish Rite Lounge equally and participate in ceremonies, rituals, meetings, etc.? And Vice versa?

Depends on the state.

The majority of Prince Hall Grand Lodges have full recognition by their counter part of the same state. Most of the southern states still refuse to grant any sort of recognition. The state of Texas has mutual territorial agreements but no visitation rights. My grand lodge os in the state of Washinton. Which has full regcognition of both the counter part of that state, as well as all Grand Bodies recognized by the United Grand Lodge of England.

I personally think this recognition crap is a waste of time, most of it is still based on race, and if its within the same race its always based off money and greed.
Cant wait until this thing becomes one order.

This is an excellent example of how Masonry has become a disgusting pyramid scheme.

Shrug, Masonry was corrupted long before I was born, this is no surprise.

The founders of New Atlantis must be pinwheeling in their graves.

O'neal is college educated, he got paid millions to play games, he probably spends more money in one day than you may see in a life time.... Cant be too much of an idiot.

Your logic is specious, popularity of a sport and high pay for
performance does not equate to intellect.

Secondly, about his "college education"

O'Neal left LSU early to pursue his NBA career, but
returned to school in 2000 and received a Bachelor of
Arts in General Studies.

A BA in "General Studies".

I hope Shaq will spend some time learning his degree work and finding out what masonry is all about. Since he is retiring, he might have time for that. It makes me happy to see anyone find the craft.

I agree, I dont quite agree with the raising on site deal, or one day classes in general. Most of those masons only got the title, but you see them put in the work.
What ever gets the taxes paid I guess.

Either way, Shaq is a good guy. He spends alot of time at venues in Houston. I'm pretty sure he'll maintain a decent name for the craft as he has done with Omega Psi Phi

Hum, French Freemasonry is in crisis at the moment. Many of the European Grand Lodges will not deal with them until they get their house back in order.

If you are interested, ours is Lodge No. 1025 Southern Star Lodge based in Munich and is a member of the Grand Lodge of British Freemasonry in Germany.

He also holds an MBA from Phoenix University and is pursuing a PhD at Barry University.

From what I understand is that Shaq had gone through the EA and FC degrees, but due to a scheduling conflict he couldn't make his MM ceremony, but was available for the abbreviated MM on Sight.

I hope it does get sorted out properly there in France as I was hoping to visit there in the coming year or two.

I'm not sure of your point exactly, he is still college educated right? Whether it was basket weaving, or general ed, he still received his bachelors, thats more than a majority of professional sports players, or anyone period has received. I've only recently received a bachelors, and I've been out of high school for 10 years, granted I did serve in the military first. Eitherway masonry does not require a man to be educated to join the craft, its all about morals. I honestly dont even think you have to read to join, just have great memeory skills.

My mom works with an organization in Cleveland that is a large charity and she mentioned that they did an event at the stadium. She had her picture taken with Shaq's shoe. Not sure about the smell, but it was mighty large. She is a small person so it only amplified the picture. I was told he was great to talk to and a real nice guy in person. There will always be a hater in the crowd who wishes he had the fame and fortune. You don't have to be a good public speaker to be a good person. Or a college graduate for that matter. I know people who didn't finish high school who are real nice and even smart. Go figure.

In Highschool, I pulled the bare minimum grades, mostly because I am stubborn and think that the homework was a joke so I refused to do it...almost didn't graduate because of it. College I'm pulling 3.6 on average. My mom calls me the laziest smart person ever.

I will. I also have a PM from my Lodge living around the Carcassonne that I want to visit (haven't seen in him in a few years). It just depends on how all the next 6-months goes with going home and getting a new job.

I just thought I'd add this breaking news to this thread.
www.orlandosentinel.com...

The article is regarding a sex tape between Shaq and another former basketball player. He got beat up pretty badly by people who were demanding he turn over the tape.

I stand by my opinion that ALL fraternities and secret societies be disbanded.

Maybe the sex tape doesn't exist, but these guys, suspected Crips, obviously believed that it did as they were beating the crap out of the guy. Now, we have to speculate about why it was created and if Shaq had knowledge of the fact that he was being videotaped. Was it created for blackmail means?

There's too much grey area around the masons and other fraternities and secret societies that I don't understand why people even remain associated with them, but that's just me.

A music promoter who was kidnapped and robbed in 2008 has told a court that his assailants demanded return of a sex tape featuring NBA star Shaquille O'Neal

I dont see where it said another player, it just said it was featuring Shaq.... I made several sex tapes when I was in Germany in the privacy of my own barracks room with my sons mother.
Even if it was a dude, to each his own...

O'Neal, who retired from pro basketball this year after 19 seasons in the NBA, is not charged in the case or named in a criminal complaint filed earlier this year against seven defendants.

He seems to not be involved in this except for maybe the fact that he made a sex tape someone got there hands on.

Robert Ross also testified during a preliminary hearing in the case that he told O'Neal about the tape during a business dispute some two weeks before his abduction, Los Angeles County District Attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison said.

I apologize. I got the two confused. But who discusses a sex tape at a business meeting? Maybe those in the porn industry and the Bilderbergs, but that's the only ones I can think of.
