Ok the only other thread I have on this website is an introduction. I'm not into making threads, but this intrigued me, and I would like to know if this is normal.

One of my blinds are messed up a little and from where I sit in my chair, I can get a bit of a view of the sky through the window.

I saw something moving from the corner of my eye so I leaned to see if I can get a good view of what it was. It obviously moved too fast because I could not see it while sitting down anymore and I had to get up, walk across the room to where the window is, and look out. It was still moving and I was watching, and then it stopped. It seemed to have moved around a little bit before completely stopping, but it became stationary. this all happened within a 30 second time span. It moved quite a distance in a short amount of time... thing is, it's acting like a regular star now. It's been slowly moving down along with the moon over the past hour, and I can hardly see it anymore as the persons house next to me is blocking it.

I don't have a good quality camera or camcorder or telescope, but I sure wish I did right now, and this has definitely encouraged me to get one soon.

My question is this :What could this be? It looked like a little twinkling star. Way too far away to be a plane, and I see planes a lot where I live. A satellite? Have satellites been known to move a great distance and stop? I almost had a panic attack just going through the thoughts of what this could be. I never thought I would get scared seeing a ufo. I always thought I would feel safe and comfortable... this has never happened to me before, and I'm hoping there is some logical explanation for it.

If this belongs in a different thread, I apologize.

Thanks for giving us a descent post. Snf.

I understand what you're saying . It's just that stars in general do not move.

I would believe that, but where I was sitting it wasn't visible because it moved and so I had to move (walk across the room) to see it. When I sat back down, I couldn't see it in the chair I saw it in before. So it was moving. It wasn't stationary at first.

Thanks for the reply, s&f.

I know I wont get much replies. It's not an exciting post. People want to SEE this ufo. To SEE it happen on video. I understand. I would feel the same way.

I'm glad you acknowledge this thread so at least I know someone is hearin' me.

I have seen stars dancing wildly and moving rapidly across the horizon, totally convinced of a ufo,.But line it up next to a tree etc and it's perfectly still. Not saying the op experienced this but you need some perspective to be sure.

I hear what you're saying everyone, but where I am sitting now is where I saw this star. I saw it moving . so much that I had to get up so that I could continue to see it. I couldn't see it sitting in the chair anymore. I had to get up, walk across the room...

Was it moving in relation to other stars/planets/moon etc? If it was the only star you saw, it seems to me that your mind switched to using the clouds as a frame of reference, thus giving the appearance of star motion. I've had this happen to me and it was very convincing, although I was outdoors and had the whole sky in my field of vision. Indoors it would seem less likely but still possible. I'm not calling you a liar, just saying maybe take it into consideration.

Well I'm looking forward to reading more from anyone, who's fingers don't tire after one sentence of text in the OP.

Maybe this was something that looked like a star and actually did move. I'm not questioning your powers of
observation because you seem rational. I also have some synchronicity to add here after what I saw just last night. Believe me this is odd.

I came home from the store last night after writing my response here. We have some desert hills to east of us.
While I was coming home on the thoroughfare to the South of our hood here in Apple Valley Ca.
I had to pull over for all the fire trucks coming up behind me. Let me say also that they were bookin it. Headed east. When I pulled up in our driveway and got out of the truck. I noticed more fire trucks, headed east on the thoroughfare, to the north of our hood. Hauling ass as well. Fire trucks don't usually go this fast.

As I was noticing them, looking in the direction of the desert hills. I saw briefly just above the hills in the sky something the exact size of a bright star but way to bright to be a star. It seemed to move away from where my
wife and I were standing in the garage. Then it turned orange as if it caught fire and flamed out in to nothingness.
Without ever heading to the ground from what we both stood there witnessing. I could see that the fire trucks once they got up to the foothills were all over the place and seemed to searching. The police were up there first
I guess and also were ever where, all together seemed to be searching all up in and around the foothills. Lights
flashing so you could tell there was no accident yet something brought them all there.

I said to my wife,
"Now I have to write that member a descent reply".
She looked at me all puzzled and said. What?

So there you go.

You may want to spend some time at the following sites by plugging in your exact location and the time/date of this sighting to eliminate or identify a star/planet/satellite....

Satellites, ISS:
Heaven's Above
NASA - Human Space Flight

Stars, planets:
Stellarium

Thanks for your story.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who had something strange happen to them on the same night.

there didn't seem to be any other visible stars out. I could see the others if I focused hard enough on one of them, and even then they were very faint. The clouds weren't heavy at all. in fact I wouldn't even have known there were clouds out if it weren't for the faint stars. the sky looked pretty dark and clear.

Well it looks like there was a satellite visible in my area around the time that I saw the strange star. But what I don't get is, how could it just move such a far distance across the sky in a 20 - 30 second span, and then stop and act like regular star?

Am I crazy? I'm just so confused. Maybe it was just a satellite and I'm overreacting. . .

it was there and slowly moving down along with the moon, so it acted like regular star after it moved.
