Anon Members Unmasked

www.theregister.co.uk

It appears that Anon members have been hacked
(visit the link for the full news article)

It appears to some that there was a split within the group and it could be an inside job. The article claims that 650 members were 'exposed'

Just looking around google and found the above link that claims that someone or some group of hackers have exposed anon members IP addresses and passwords in text form. If this true it may have been a govt. attack.

It really could have been anyone that did this. Anon has made some enemies over the past few months

Anonymous is either paranoid schizophrenic with severe multiple personality disorder... Or, there are many different anonymous(s) each its own, controlled separately....

Anyone or any group can be anonymous...

*insert evil laughs here*

I found another link to this story but can't get it to post properly, Apparently a member was unhappy with current administration at Anon and posted info on Reddit and a few other sites

One of the first rules concerning internet security at a business or government agaency is "Beware the disgruntled employee."

I am sure some of these guys hung out in person and traded secrets. All it takes is one peeved individual so ruin it. And once you hit send, you can rarely take it back.

Then again, it would be a great NSA scheme to keep the waters muddied.

I think Anon is just mind [snip] people even more and deliberately threw out a bunch of random names they aren't associated with as a diversion.

Let's see how many people get arrested with direct links from their hard drives to acts of crimes.

That should tell us how much is B.S.

yeh some of them are for sure no shortage of CIA and the likes even 2chan

but their are certainly multiple factions including a very real peoples resistance imo hard to tell which is which from the outside tho.
IMO if it the CIA they release a list like this just ip's and passwords no real damage. Other than a we know who you are to scare away some of the sheep.
If it was the good guys some of those IP's would've been shown to have government links I'm sure.

Of the original members of "anonymous" there are none that can even fart without setting off alerts on several monitors and speakers within the various government "agencies"

Anonymous is dead, and only serves for intelligence gathering, and data mining of newer "members" ... And more importantly as a cover for state sponsored hacking and attacks.

Anonymous done it.

Fools.

More distrust brought to you by the same people who brought you "divide and conquer"!!
Trust nobody, talk to no one.
You are safest all alone!
Good play whoever it was.

Anonymous is dead,

I'll let the article speak for me

We’re positive there are plenty of people who would cheer if Ryan’s words of, “I’m one person...and I have destroyed Anonymous”, were true. However, AnonOps is not Anonymous, no matter how one spins it.

People who associate under Anonymous use AnonOps, but without it, they will still exist and operate.

The shakeup of AnonOps wasn’t a case of hacker vs. hacker, or Anon vs. Anon. Many of the people we talked to told us it was simply a matter of ego and typical IRC drama between network staff.

Fools.

The fighting continues as AnonOps stages a comeback

I actually prefer a cold metallic rotting flesh eating taste with stale blood mixed with rose petals. Remember that for next time if you want to use that line again.

I don't understand why Ryan would want to do this other than as someone said in the article, to get 15 mins of fame, Maybe Anon isn't the mafia or anything special but I still wouldn't want a group of people after me, If they can do something other than denial of service they could screw with your records.
