So while I was stumbling random videos on YouTube yesterday, I happened to come across a strange occurrence.

Now before I go on, I want to say that I DO NOT think this is some kind of conspiracy, I just thought it was something interesting that some people here might be interested in.

I happened to stumble onto an upload of Jesse Ventrua's show, Conspiracy Theory. Specifically, the Wall Street episode.
I watched the first part, no problem. Then I clicked on the link to the next part, watched it, no problem. Then I clicked on the link to the third part, and this showed up.

What is odd about this? Usually there are suggestions on the right side there, and at the end of the video, usually it has suggestions. The other two parts of the video each had suggestions and links to the other parts of the upload, but this one did not.

Anyways, like I said earlier, this is something really really small, and I'm not reading very much into it. This was most likely just a glitch with the page load, these things do happen. I just thought I would share it, just in case anyone wanted to take something else out of this.

Cheers everyone

Like I said, I wasn't looking too deep into it, I assume it's just a glitch on the page load.
Just wanted to share it incase anyone found interest.

What really needs to be asked is:

What was in your other tab, that required you to black out the address.

Try posting a reply on any youtube video with abovetopsecret.com in it. You'll get an error, but change it to any other site and it'll go through. So it's not blocking urls.

Not that I believe it's a conspiracy, but it's weird.

And he blacked out the search bar, I think there might be a conspiracy here.

Blocked out for the same reason that I blocked out my tool bars and bookmarks and user name, I want to uphold my privacy. The only content that was important was the URL and the content of the page.

I'm not sure if that is a troll or not... I'm not ranting. As I stated, I'm just sharing an odd little event that happened. You are more than welcome to ignore this thread and return to your "serious stuff".

I remember claims that TrueTV (?) decided to restrict some of J. Ventura's shows. If so, others have posted links so they all can be viewed. All here say, mind you...I have not checked. I do believe you can watch any episode with minimal effort.

Fun if a bit shallow.

I think the conspiracy is why would someone post a thread of such unimportance.

What next? Skype is trying to assasinate me?

Actually it blocks any URL I've ever put it..That is unless I wright it sneakily...such as FacebookDOTcom instead of Facebook.com ......So I'm not sure what you mean by it only censoring abovetopsecret url's.

I did come across what appeared to be a genuine automatic censorship on Youtube, that didn't involve URL's or anything other than regular words.Someone claimed every time he would type this particular reply in that it would not post....I tried it myself and was shocked to find he was right. Doing a bit more experimentation I found I could post everything he had written however If I wrote it another way....so whatever was going on it was only the exact sequence of words being censored..it did not seem to be censoring the content itself........I think that he may have quoted it from a book, so perhaps it was some sort of automatic copyright thing......It still weird's me out out though, even thinking about it!

Expect negative replies and people telling you to move on, nothing to see there or here.

Possible glitch.

You must be new to computers. It's just a bug in the code. I assume it played when you refreshed / clicked "replay".

I'm far from new to computers, I'm a software engineer and have been programming and developing for years. I would dare to say that I have a deeper understanding of the workings of that code than most people on this forum.

Its not that the video didn't play, you apparently failed to fully read the OP. The slight bug I saw was that it refused to load any of the suggestions off of that video, even though it did for the other parts of the upload. And no, refreshing did not cause the suggestions to load.

The only relevant point is whether the video will play. Who cares about anything else. I don't think anyone has been able to understand why you wrote this thread. And there are plenty of software engineers who are computer dumb. I used to help them out all the time with simple problems.

Did you try refreshing the page at least? Your computer and YouTube's server are in constant communication, data is lost, sometimes for unknown reasons.

No, seriously... it's a Glitch.

Same thing has been happening to me for about... I'd say at least a week or two.

Youtube is probably trying to implement new features, and still doesn't have the bugs worked out of their system yet.

I would say that it's nothing to worry about.

Cheers!
