The Costume Bomb

... has exploded at my house. I am working at the renaissance fair this year (first time I've worked there) and I am very excited. I am also digging through all of my garb to see what fits, what needs to be mended and what I can actually wear out there (tudor gown with puffy sleeves and train- bad idea. Peasant garb that's cool and washable - good idea). I just went and bought some boning in hopes of making a new bodice today. We'll see how far I get.

My old company used to a have a Senior VP that wore his renaissance puffy shirts on casual Fridays.

Emphasis on USED TO.

Man, he talked like that ALL THE TIME too. It's fun as a hobby, but the "MiLadys" and "humble servant" talk gets old in a staff meeting.
