Indeed. Bahrain was covered quite well on the BBC, with deaths mentioned frequently and even afterwards the BBC has continued to cover the story, including the sentencing of several Doctors to death for "aiding terrorists". There were even plentiful videos taking by people there showing the security forces mowing people down with machine gun fire.

I think alot of people here are very selective about what they see and hear, ignoring that which doesn't jive with their world view, such as it is.

Two entirely different things. Media management of a REAL event is an accepted practice by many Governments, but making news up entirely is usually left to the crazy tinpots, as they can totally control the flow of info, whereas Western Governments are, time and again, shown to be as leaky as an old rusty bucket and would not be able to hide such a blatant lie for long, if at all.

Ah, quoting Nazi's to back up your assertions.. Hmm, lets see, the Nazi regime was adept at controlling the flow of information and who said what about things.

This was also in an age where info was much easier to control, but even then stories leaked. What you're talking about here is "democratic" Governments trying to do the same in the information age where info simply cannot be managed to the extent you claim it is. It is simply impossible to fake a story like this and expect to get away with it for long.

After all, you say the events of Afghan and Iraq were staged, but they weren't entirely untrue (the bits about Saddam killing his own, for example) and the lies were quickly exposed for what they were. However, now Government srae quite concerned not to be caught fibbing again after the Iraq debacle (at least in Europe/UK) so why on earth would they introduce a fake story to try and manipulate a situation where they can "invaded Syria for oil" (despite the UK alone having production twice the level of Syria and almost the same as Libya) when they know they will, without a doubt, be caught out again and most likely suffer serious repurcussions this time round.

Basically, what you're claiming does not hold up to logical scrutiny and only makes sense in the most paranoid and geo-politically naive of minds.

Did you open any news source besides ATS lately and see politicians from around the world condemn Asad and the Syrian army?
Did you see the refugee camp the Turks built for thousands of Syrians running away from the atrocities?
