China Building Self Contained Cities in America?

Let's try again -
I find these latest developments to be disturbing because it is pointing towards the New World Order, however you define that. Apparently, Boise, Idaho has sold 50 square miles to China, who will setting up some kind of Global Domestic zone. And apparently there are other states such as Utah which are in the works. It really does make me think of that UN Rewilding Map which shows economy zones... I tend to view this with mistrust - and I will be personally contacting my elected officials.

Ya, this is supposed to be part of the "Project 60"/EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program they are starting to help raise GDP!

Instead of offering goods and services, let's trade citizenship for cash! We always knew money could buy anything, now it buys Idaho!

They would still have to operate under US law, including EPA regulations. I say more power to them...so long as a law is passed outlawing the importation of foreign laborers to do the construction. This could actually be a boom to the US economy and the job market.

I believe it's going under the Foreign Free Trade Zones. Nice name for a soft invasion.

Sometimes you have to fall hard before you can fully realize what caused it.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

There is an awakening to the reality that China's rise to global supremacy will come only after the collapse of the USA. And their role in our fall will eventually be revealed.

If we don't change course soon, then we are doomed. China will suck the life out of the US economy, businesses, manufacturing (jobs) and a massive trade imbalance, combined with their ownership of massive amounts of US debt, will make that easy for them. When the time is right, a death blow will come... And China will be our new savior.

The new world order is going to be everything Chinese... in fact we're almost there now.

Not that I really like the idea but... until we pull out all of our military bases from around the world in nearly every foreign nation, we don't really have room to complain.

Sad. America will be defeated by chinese land developers not the chinese army.

And Obama has just opened the door. Probably a trade-off so China won't default.

Does his mean that the Chinese have to pay the same taxes and follow the same regulations as U.S. companies? They will find out why everyone is leaving.

If the Chinese get reservation status, that would be extremely unfair to Americans, why should we have to follow all the rules and regs when they don't?

Personally I don't care if the Chinese buy up U.S. land so long as they have to follow U.S. rules and pay U.S. taxes. If they want to blow their money, fine. I can't wait until they come up against some environmental group protecting a tadpole.

i personally think a self sustaining free economic zone to mean they will be above us laws and regulations

and it will be just like a embassy chinese soil where only chinese rules apply.

and i think the go ahead of those zones are one of the worse ideas that stupid polictians will do nothing about.

None of the revenue, not of the jobs, the taxes, etc.,will benefit the state they will reside in nor the US. ID Gov., Butch Otter and Lt. Gov. Brad Little thinks this will be good as expressed past state involvement with China trade, they welcomes the land given to the country. This time, nothing in return, just owed debt money to China in the form of land. This is also going on under many people's awareness. The "city", where residents never have to leave as their jobs and homes will be included, will have one crop such as potatoes to benefit fast food chains(and McDonalds) in China.
