FireFox + AdBlock Plus = no ads.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that ATS has to source funding from somewhere but considering the "type" of person that tends to post here I would doubt if many ever actually click a banner, I know I never have.

Personally I'd like to see ATS move to an optional subscription based model, I would happily pay for a sub of about $9.99 if it gave some kind of tangible benefit, for example no ads, exclusive content etc.

Isn't that against the Terms and Service of ATS to utilize an ad block?

Does the site still make money if you block the ads?

Yes. It is.Terms and Conditions of Use
20b) Ad Blockers: As the Websites are provided as a free service, in part through the income of our advertising, you agree not to use "ad-blocking" software or similar built-in web browser options designed to obfuscate or block online advertising while using the Websites.

If you browse the BBQ forum (that you are in now) you will see a number of threads, even ones that Owners reply on, that discuss the topic of adverts here on ATS.
