Maybe the bodies have been there for a while... Maybe a few hundred years. Could be from The Native American Genocide for example. Mass graves don't necessarily mean there is a psycho serial killer on the loose. Just throwing in an archaeological perspective.

I'm very curious about this story as Hardin is right down the road from me (about 30 miles or so). I do believe the population of Hardin is like 800 people and the towns of Hardin, Daisetta and Hull, make one small 2A school district. From what I know its mostly an agriculture community.

Wow...More updates:

False tip sparks search for bodies at Liberty Co. home
HARDIN, TX (KTRK) -- The Liberty County judge says nothing has been found at the Hardin-area home where someone claimed several bodies to be, and now a search is underway for the tipster who gave the false information.
SOURCE

I guess this is "solved"

Good news that the story was not true....
Not such good news for the "tipster" who is in a hell of a lot of trouble now....sucks to be them

good news then, although the storey took a sudden twist, now the tipster is being hunted down, a better scenerio although it raises questions.

for example did they take a tip from an anonyomous psychic? i thought it was one of their own.

Law enforcement authorities say a cadaver dog then made a positive hit where their source had claimed bodies to be. Deputies expect to know if the claims are true within the hour.

Then what was this? This story has been a yo-yo from the beginning. Was the msm just having some fun today or what?

The story was developing and changing by the minute....that is why there are so many 'versions' on the thread

McNair says deputies who returned later Tuesday found blood on a back door and detected a foul odor coming from the house, but after authorities received a Texas Rangers warrant to search the property, they found absolutely nothing to indicate the claims to be true

It is always hard to believe "breaking news" or news in progress.....I find it interesting how a reporter can not get a story straight from the begnining....or are they just making crap up to get it out there....

Americans love grizzly, bloody news stories. I hope they are disappointed this time and it turns out to be an elaborate hoax. but.....

And you are here in this thread because.......... ?

No.... Americans do not "love" what you perceive they do. Speak for yourself and stop generalizing and grouping everyone. Nothing but nasty about your remark.

And you are here in this thread because.....?

Perhaps "love" was the wrong choice of words but they are certainly drawn to and fascinated by blood, gore and if you throw in some kinky sex; that story will sell and be followed till something even more gnarly comes along. How long did the Jon Benet Ramsey story last? O J Simpson? Charles Manson?

And I repeat....

I hope this story is a hoax!

Of course it would be much better if it were a hoax...

Anyone with half of a heart, would rather it be not true..than a reality.

Then... according to your perception... Americans should stop tuning in to news and breaking stories... or be labeled as you are doing? Ignore the tornadoes, fires, flooding, abductions, murders, etc. or be ridiculed by someone on the internet if we don't?

No thanks.

I am here because I am tuning in to my environment. To your dismay apparently... many of us (U.S.) are "loving" the ending to this story at this point.

And now I await the person whom allegedly cried wolf and wasted resources and money to be tried and prosecuted.

If the tipster did so with honest intention, and felt there could be danger..I don't think they can be tried??..geez..it was the dumb medias fault for blowing it out of proportion before facts were secured.

This means that many who may have a very VALID tip to give..would shy away from doing so..which is not good in my mind.

I have no idea how you got that from my post. Are you baiting me?

Isn't it enough I said I hope this story is a hoax? Apparently it is and I'm glad.

Or the tipster could be a jealous girlfriend or ex-tenant whom fabricated the whole tale. Or could be mental illness, drugs involved. It happens.

Until... if ever... we learn the facts... there is no way of guessing.

One thing for sure........ they would have a lot of explaining to do.

Wait...I thought this was a false report? From page 1. Why is it still being second guessed, 5 pages later?

The OP's "quote" is misquoted. There were no bodies discovered. Here's what the OP says:

The Liberty County Sheriff's Office said 25 to 30 bodies were discovered outside a home at the intersection of County Roads 2049 and 2048 between Hardin and Daisetta.

Investigators said someone told them about the location, but they did not elaborate.

The FBI was called in to assist the investigation

However, here's what the source says:

The Liberty County Sheriff's Office said 25 to 30 bodies were reported on a property at the intersection of County Roads 2049 and 2048 between Hardin and Daisetta.

There is a HUGE difference between "discovered" and "reported". What the hell, guy? Seriously, fix your OP.

Everyone was confused about this. It was reported there were bodies found by the actual news. The title of thread is changed now and has been so whats the problem?

Glad to hear that there are no dismembered children found.

Curious development though, since the tips seemed relevant enough to warrant the police and the FBI... I wonder if the "psychic tipster" will turn out to be the 16 year old girl that lived on the property, but just recently, moved out.

The owner of this property is lucky his home wasn't in Indiana. The authorities would have bulldozed the place without a warrant - all because of a psychic and an anonymous tipster. Maybe next time a swami or a fortune teller will have better luck.
