THE deadly E.coli outbreak could have been spread by terrorists, say doctors.

They fear rogue groups may have deliberately implanted the killer germ into fresh produce.

Poisoning food supplies would be the perfect way for terror groups to be taken seriously, experts believe.


Though Germany has been the centre of the outbreak, Britain could also be hit as our fruit and vegetable supply is also vulnerable to attack.

wow i guess this is certainly something they definatly have to consider, especially by todays standards. i mean what better way to take down the human race than with germs and bugs??

The Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure has now warned manufacturers and retailers about the threat posed by agroterrorism attacks, which could lead to a widespread outbreak of serious food poisoning.

It is not thought an attack of that type played any role in the E. coli outbreak in Germany and investigations there are now focused on a restaurant in Luebeck.

lol! The last time that Islamic scientists were at the forefront of biomedical technology was in like, 900 AD. I think it's fairly unlikely that the Islamic terrorists have the level of sophistication to obtain and release a new, undiscovered bacterium...and why would they release it in Germany of all places? the amount of resources that it would require to hatch this 'plan' would be at the 9-11 level.

I wouldn't trust what the Daily Star has to say, they constantly over exaggerate everything for sales. In fact don't trust any paper that dedicates its page 3 to boobs!

The Metro is almost as bad, they are usually a few days behind and simply rehash what other news sources have already reported. Can't blame them on that though, it is free after all, people only really read it on the train or the bus.

Is e,coli linked to colitis if so i had a bad strain about a month ago, except i got it from knorn food i was trying it for a substitute diet, not recommended i was laid up for 3 days in serious pain. no doctors though I'm just plain stubborn that way,

the idea that terrorists caused this will be propagated.

thus ensuring the idea that terrorism is real sticks in the people's minds.


it may not be real, but people will take it at face value and run to get those vaccines.

i actually like the daily star its good in scotland and not as pompous as other papers and the metro here is good for local news at least.

true, the government refering to themselves as terrorists like its a separate group is not technically a lie.

now if only more people would get a grasp on what the concept of terrorism is, they would realize the biggest terror organization in the world is the media and governments, wich in turn get terrorized by banks.

This is all so much tosh. If a government wanted to embark on serious depopulation, don't you think they wouldn't have a lot more deadly means at their disposal?
So far 20+ dead. Not good if you are one of them - but scarcely a dent in the world's population (even if it were to get to 10x that figure).
