Hi
I’m not very clued up when it comes to space but it has always fascinated me, Ok I brought a Dell streak on Friday the 27th and downloaded the app Google sky map.
Every night I hold it up and look for the moon, and since I have had this phone the moon hasn’t been visible by eye here in the UK, last night about 12 o’clock I held my phone up as normal and the moon is on the other side of the planet.. Is this normal not to see the moon for this long or is because I’m sleeping by the time it comes out?

I got a tad lost in your pseudo witchcraft.

"Every night I hold it up and look for the moon" - because without holding it up, the moon is invisible.

Use more mugwort.

Yes its normal, sometimes the moon rises early other time its late, and sometimes its even visible during the day for a short time.
its because its orbital period and plane is different from ours in relation to the earth sun plane.
the moon always spins me out how it seems to ump around the sky, but if you use a program that can track it though time on you computer like stellarium you see its all normal

Adell Streak I think I bought her album last week ?

Anyway Stellarium it is !

im a little bit of a techno junkie
android fan boy (samsung galaxy s, htc tattoo and 10 inch apad)
was just pointing out you need to run software on a pc to check it out better
i have google sky on my phone as well and its ok for a bit of fun.

Well that was a reply to the guy above mate, he said something about an adell streak album he brought lol made me chuckle.
Oh of topic, I went through 3 dells btw the streak 5" phone.... on my 4th and it seems to be working fine...

It uses gps normally. They are selling Dell phones now??

yeah the Dell streak, mine was £199 from car phoneware house reduced from £380.. pay as you go :-)

Who'd of thunk it.. Dell phones. Android, windows?

I got it on my galaxy s2, really good app. make sure your location is set and time/date is uptodate

Perhaps you can get an app that produces better more descriptive thread titles?
