Amazing! Rich Russians Gave up Money and Moved to Siberia to Live Like Their Ancestors!

humansarefree.com

Thousands of rich Russians gave up their wealth and moved to Siberia. Scared of mankind's dependence for money, they closed their accounts and chose living without currency, just like our ancestors used to.

There are hundreds of villages in Russia where people chose living without money, far away from what we call 'modern civilization'. One of these villages is called Aleksandrovka. A team of Romanian journalists spent several days with the former rich people, in the Aleksandrovka village.

2. In fact, people are so attracted by the idea of living without money, that brought it to another level. They made a movie about it: “I had everything I needed, I had a house and I had raised two children. I gave it all away.”

3. If you are not ready for the big step just yet, then you may try living in a smaller home at first.

Interesting concept. I don't think I am ready to live without money yet. I am transitioning to a jobless lifestyle after working "jobs" for the last 30+ years. But living without money is all but impossible unless you have your own land. Here in the US you do not and cannot have your own land. The best you can get(in most places I am aware of) is an annual lease from the government. If you do not make your annual lease payments(ie property taxes) you lose the lease on that piece of land.

Noble act of humility, or insider knowledge of impending catastrophe?
Living a more simple/natural life, or bugging out?

Someone else must be thinking the same thing

There are many opportunities here in the U.S. to "get away" from modern society!
Join an Amish community, live in an extremely rural area, buy some farm land, or join one of the many natural communal living societies around.

There are many ways to live away from modern society in America. Your options are only as limited as what changes you are willing to make.

Amish will not work for me as I plan to generate and use my own electricity. As for buying land, I am not aware of any place in the USA where you can actually OWN your land. Do you know of any such place where you are not actually leasing the land from the government?

I have always been interested in living without currency and a job in a community that is self-sustaining. I grew up with the idea that one day I was going to give away all my possessions, learned how to live off the land, and learn how to be self-sustaining without mainstream society. I think this is a wonderful idea.

and property tax is the most evil thing that was created in this country ok well not so much but it ranks up there.

work your entire life spend thousands of dollars but wait for it

you do not own your home or the land it sits on

failure to pay those taxes and youve lost a lifetime achievement.

This is really awesome! I'd like to do something like this here in Canada, but living without the internet would be hard for me. I'm simply to addicted to our world...and what's happening everywhere. You have to have internet to do so...which is not free.

If all of the rich Russians (and we are talking obscene level rich, not upper middle class) would give up money and move to Siberia, Russia would have a lot of its problems solved. It is too bad that only a tiny fraction of the rich people in Russia periodically become schizophrenic and go in search of a greater purpose. Of course that search stops once they freeze their asses off, or die of alcohol poisoning after a night on the town.

I see this as more Russian propaganda.
Ayn Rand has taken over the Republican and Tea Party.
Koch Brothers are pushing Ayn Rand.
Koch Industry made there fortune in Russia befor being kicked out.
Orly Tiatz Birther Is Russian.
Donald Trump a birther.
Donald Trump's wife is Russian.
Donald Trump has been selling lots of houses to Russians.
Recently he sold one in Florida for 100 million.
Yes the Elite Russian cartels are coming to America.
The same Nomenklatura that Russia fought against in the 20's and 30's.
Like Fred C. Koch who hated Russia for kicking him out but loved how he made billions off of Russian oil.

Beside Native American reservations and land claims, I do not know any non-taxable lots of land to own perpetually until your death. I didn't understand this was your point, and I fully agree with you.
