Ok, I know this is in no way as big as when Nasa launches a shuttle. But this is f...ing cool
So, these two guys from Denmark have build a rocket from scratch and will be test launching today.
The final goal will be to launch a person into space. Well sort of... They want to send one of them 100km up, let him enjoy the view and then return
with parachutes.
They tried a launch last year, but the heater that was supposed to keep some valves clear of ice broke down. (Granted, it was a cheap hairdryer from a
local supermarket...)
There will be a test launch with a crashtest dummy today (If the weather holds)
If everything goes as planned, the rocket should make a nice long curve and make it to a height of 16-18 km.
The launch is scheduled for 3pm Danish time - (That's 2pm UK and 9am Eastern)
