I would find a psychologist who could hypnotize me into being gay before I let a quack near my boys with a freakin' needle. Barring that, I would take a vow of celibacy first.

Go on lads, take a bit of pain. Or shall i describe childbirth in all its glory.

2 pin pricks versus massive skin tearing, searing pain?

Child birth doesn't even come close to having TWO injections in the scrot
, because unlike childbirth this actually happens to men

This is a serious pet peeve for me. And a huge turn of when guys whine about vasectomies, and now this shot.

I would gladly trade trade a man bodies and get 40 shots in the scrotum while they get to experience a drug free labor and birth in a females body. I am sure 40 shots would be nothing compared to the pain of childbirth. Imagine having spasms that felt like someone was squeezing the life out of your sack for 20+ hours only to experience the feeling of something ripping, tearing then exploding out. And then the after pain.
Seriously men, we know you guys will never be able to come close to understanding what we go through, but it is really insulting, when we not only have to deal with pregnancy, birth, PMS, tubal ligation, and not to mention some of the horrific side effects of birth control pills, some of us experience. Then you guys turn around and expect us to have sex with you?

omg i love you.
see men will never understand the feeling and rage and sheer hatred at that very moment when u have PUSHED for 4 hrs straight. trying to push watermelon threw a keyhole. oh my goodness its worth it all in the end to have a man get a shot in the ball.

Way to Go!

Heck, if you are that keen...

Just go to the kitchen and grab yourself a fork.

It's one thing you will never hear a woman say: "mmmm, nice scrotum"

Women may pretend on forums such as this that they're all for this (so men can experience some of the pain they feel we deserve) but in reality the 'feminist' society we live in would never allow such a thing. Which is why we still don't have the male pill. To be able to be freely sexual without coercive reproductive consequences would even the playing field and make men far, far less controllable. Women like that the pendulum has swung so far in their direction and expect to be able to call the shots not merely about when THEY become parents, but when WE do as well.

Not going to debate it. It's self-evident. Otherwise they would accept that their sole reproductive CHOICE does not equal shared reproductive "responsibility." It, by all that is fair, just and logical, equals sole responsibility. This procedure, if widely available, may even spell the end of the human race. Why would women even have sex with men anymore if they couldn't force parenthood and child support upon them. They may even have to consider conceiving their children in wedlock, heaven forbid...

I hope this works out...50 years of birth control for women but next to nothing for men to use may be nearly over. It will be about time for men to have to same opportunities to protect themselves. Women have been responsible for birth control since the stone age and it would be nice to share some of that responsibility. Hooray!

And, by the way...It doesn't sound like the shot is in the scrotum....C'mon...You can do it!

Actually it's not one shot but two shots in the scrotum
from my OP:

The injection is called RISUG, which stands for "reversible inhibition of sperm under guidance." Let's just get the uncomfortable bit out of the way first: you can't just be injected anywhere, the doctor has to stick a needle into your scrotum. Twice.

I totally would have done it.

Imagine all of high school and college without any of those "I'm late you bastard!" phone calls.

Nope. Not happening. Sounded like a good idea at first, but no. Just... no.

As well it should be along with birth control for women and drug testing. Some people actually NEED assistance and then theres the ones who pop out more kids just to get more money from the state and not work or be a productive member of society

Agreed. Where was this shot 20 years ago when I needed it?

The year was 1993. I was in 3rd grade. I was taking a shower one evening and noticed that I had some sort of knot under the skin of my scrotum. Embarrassingly, I called for my mom to come and see what was going on. I was scared, it was my pouch, man...she said she had no idea and the next day I went to the doctor's office. "Its some kind of cyst, that much I can tell you. We'll have to cut it out." I can hear the words like it was just yesterday. I was given three local anesthetic injections in the bag. If you've ever had stitches, you know what those injections feel like. Its like your skin is being pinched in a single spot and being stretched to its ultimate limit. So, yeah, 3 of those.

I would gladly do this if it was at least as safe as bc pills. I mean, its hypocritical to expect a woman to do it when its just as safe and available for me to do it. No sweat. 2 little shots! Psshhht.

No side affects is fantastic and draws me in a bit closer to the idea......buuut that doesnt take away human error.

Sharp needle.....testicles.....human hand.....

Its just like getting injections into your spine. No side affects from the injection but if the needle touches the nerves serious damage can be caused.

I dont know enough about it though. Id rather have a machine do the injecting than the human hand.

Well I for one wish this was around some years back when I was foolish enough to get a vasectomy

By advise to anyone out there thinking to get a vasectomy - don't, as you never know what the future holds...

I have a friend who has a medical condition as described here:

Retrograde Ejaculation
Last reviewed: September 22, 2009.

Retrograde ejaculation refers to the entry of semen into the bladder instead of going out through the urethra during ejaculation.

source

He is very popular with the ladies as a result of this....geez, to be 23 again....

Regarding your vasectomy, I thought in most instances the procedure was reversible, although I can understand not wanting to go thru another operation....
