Yeah, I know, it could be like those Bigfoot videos or the hoaxers on Alien Autopsy...but this pic really creeped me out. It's the asymmetry of the creature that gets to me...like a person in a suit or a prop would have been more streamlined. Anyway, I'm interested in what you think...

What a crappy picture. I've yet to see a decent picture of an alien.

Why is it that all the people that get the chance to photograph anything interesting either have #ty camera equipment or dont know how to take a decent picture.

Bunch of retards.

Ah yes. The infamous Ilkley Moor alien picture. I say its legit. Doesn't look like much, but when has this subject ever had much in the way of non hoaxed clear images of ETs?

I'm not vouchering for this photo's authenticity -- but sometimes I think the only thing that will convince people like you to even give a benefit of a doubt to one of these photos is if it is shot flawlessly, perfectly composed, with the alien clearly visible as if it is posing with tourists in front of the Grand Canyon. And of course, the alien would look like either the cover to Communion or one of the Jim Henson workshop puppets. Certainly not an organic-looking lumpy thing that doesn't fall into our Hollywood-bred stereotypes of what an alien should look like.

There is no proof that this photo is real at all. And there is no proof that there isn't. To automatically dismiss anomalous things such as this photo when you have no proof positive that it's fake--and to denounce the people who take these photos or discuss the probabilities (no set yes or no--probabilities) of them being real or not as "retards"--isn't very productive.

I feel like I'm back on snopes.com.

Im not saying the picture is either fake or real. It's just frustrating that not even a halfway decent picture of an alien has ever been taken, and that really sucks.

Its very hard to say what it is because of the quality of the picture. The fact the he was a copper, does that really give it any credibility?

IMO the pictures just to low grade to tell for sure, however the overall shape of the creature is odd.

Some things to say this isn't fake:

1. Why if faking this would he take this where he did (the moors?)? Why not a shadowy forest where things would look creepier and wash out detail?
2. Why take this during daytime where hoaxing a picture is more difficult.
3. Does this creature look familiar? I mean he kind of went out of his way to fake a different looking alien instead of the tried and true grey.

The problems:

1. The picture is quite poor.
2. The alien is centered perfectly for a startling encounter like it was. (or is this a cropped photo that was centered?)
3. Why only one picture?

My questions about the incident are:

What is that thing carrying or is that just a rock or vegetation to its right?
Did the officer or anyone else go back to the site and look for footprints, material, landing marks, etc...?
And finally why the F do these aliens abduct people, show us and tell us that we are destroying our planet and then the only way people remember this important info is by being hypnotized?...it might work better if they just told people straight up instead doing the mind block\mumbo jumbo crap.

Look,,,i am a alien beliver due to some experiences in my life,,,but when i look to that foto,,,even i just can say: WHAT IS THAT!?!?...lol

camon guys...that is absolutly nothing!! it can be a alien,,,it can be a "guy in the fog", it can be even some sacs of potatoes in a mornig fog, or a Golias frog..lol.ho well...it can be a true one, just the author will know that i think.
for me , if some one want to help the truth, even if that foto is a true one, i will destroy it. nothing good will be achieaved with a proof like that. even if that is a true foto, it will be used easly by desinfo proposes. because it is toooooo easy to desbilive that thing.

The subject in the photo is very asymetrical looking, so I wouldn't bet on it being someone in a suit. Someone else mentioned it could be a photo taken of a person or another object in fog. That's another possibility. It could very well be a true photo of an extraterrestrial being. My personal opinion is that the photo is too blurry to really make out what it is. It's an interesting photo though.

Hi All,

New and not trying to make waves. And just know I'm going to sound like a complete nut by the end of this post. I'm not an alien hater or lover and don't know about this pic (have never seen the sort of alien described), but do have a couple ideas in answer to some of the problems mentioned above.

Many abductees report interference with everything from cameras to cell phones immediately before, obviously during and just after an abduction. Could explain poor picture quality, and/or the blank rolls of film that so many people seem to come up with. As far as the centering, cropping and such... I would do all of the above on my website if there was nothing interesting or pertinent in the rest of the picture.

There is also always the possibility that there were more pictures of worse quality that weren't worth the effort of posting. More than likely though, IF this is the real thing, from my experience, these guys don't like to hang out where they are exposed, and move for cover amazingly fast. Combine that with shock and one blurry shot may be all you get a chance to take with even a great camera, fastest film and the best autowinder.

Not all abductees report only messages of gloom and doom. There are abductees that report being given information on everything from healing (true medicine, not psychic surgery or the abductee's own metaphysical abilities), to spiritual matters (Judeo/Christian included), to botany, to history. People just tend to dwell on the spectacular, unfortunately that is usually the bad, not the good.

As far as hypnosis, I don't believe that the information is as accurate as it is made out to be, because EVERYONE is prejudice on this subject in one way or another. The hypnotherapist is looking for something in their questions. The patient is looking for answers to fill in the blanks. Without questioning anyone's integrity, both are trying to get the answers they want, be it consciously or sub- consciously. I don't believe there is any such thing as both parties being blind during this type of hypnosis.

Who's mind blocks? Theirs or our own? We naturally block out what we can't deal with. It could be their work, could be our own minds or they could just help our natural response to the stress along.

Stilll

I'm back again.

Took another look at the picture and I have to say,

THAT IS ONE BOWLEGGED ALIEN!!!

The "pointy" ears look pretty curled, or maybe they hang down?

The "large black eyes" appear to be bulgy, white eyes. Or did the alien blink? Hate it when that happens in a picture.

Anyone notice that he got the "blink", but didn't get the raised arm?

I went to the University of Manchester's website. They don't have a general "Institute of Science and Technology", they do have a department of "Policy Research in Science, Engineering and Technology (PREST)", a Department of Physics and Astronomy and a school or department of Radio Astronomy. Couldn't find any publication on magnets or anomallies in magnets there at all.

Which kinda brings me to my last question about this picture and the write up. A "Japanese" magnet that wasn't commercially available at the time???

There is the possibility that the picture is the real thing and the caption is just a mess.

Be,
Stilll

I would go with Stillwaters pretty much. If I remember correctly the story was that this creature was running away as fast as it could to get behind a rise in the ground . I have seen the full frame and the image on the link is an extreme close up of the real snap. The asymetry is easy to explain if you imagine a small blue grey critter with overly long arms trying to do a Ben Johnson dash. This said there is not enough info in the photo to know for certain what it is but the closeup does this no justice.
The Copper apparently could not account for an hour or two of his hill walk by the way.

How come every decent alien photo is all blurry and un-readable? If people would start using a decent digiatal camera and get some clear shots... then we would have something to go on.
