"Haunted" items?

After reading that thread about the supposed haunted painting, it made me wonder, is there any special cases or well known cases of an actuall ITEM (painting, lamp, statue etc etc) being haunted?

well i have heard many stuff about haunted items. One thing that was on the news was that when this one couple woke up, that a chair whould be on the bed. It was the same chair, so they moved out and the next day they woke up it was on top of them so they destroyed they chair, now this really caught my eye on the news but i am too cheap to afford a vcrso i couldnt record it.

There are TONS of books about haunted furniture. Google them up.

i remember seeing some chest draw that was auctioned off long ago. i read about it on a website. but inside this old piece of furniture, there was a lock of hair and some other items. the person who bought it eventually got rid of it.

Most of the items on these auctions are well orchestrated hoaxes... I'd suggest looking into Psychometry for more real cases of this...as this is the para-science dealing with psychic impressions in objects...

Have they ever proven to be haunted though cos like someone said they are usually hoax's to sell an item. And if this one inparticual item is haunted what makes it haunted :S

Well there is one that I have read and seen about on tv. "haunted" would not be "correct" It was a city in Mexico. There was a painting of Jesus Christ and the painting would cry. Experts ran tests on the moisture levels of the house and atmosphere....nothing....it wasnt a hoax. I watched it on an old show called "sightings". As for haunted items, I wouldnt know of any off hand. But yes ebay and googling for items of that sort would be a great way to start!

well we will never know for sure what aparitions do but, yea much of the "haunted items" on ebay are fake, they probable are just trying to get rid of some item that did sell, but i dont dought that there are haunted items, but i mean painting and swords and stuff,yea, but come on haunted teacups!!!!! please people use some sence!!! on ebay someone is selling a haunted pencil, and the story sounds pretty childish to me!

Place Memories are like a recording of your energy left behind when you die. This isn't really ahaunting but more of a manifestation. so, possibly a teacup could have a place memory.

Well, there's that one haunted doll named "Robert" who now resides in a museum somewhere is Florida. No, before you go jumping to conclusions, it has nothing to do with "Chucky". =/

I don't want to rain on your parade, but there is no actual evidence of anything, anyone, or even any place being haunted. All we have is anecdotal evidence - nothing to actually learn from.

So, it might be possible, but no-one knows, and anyone who says they do is confused.

But there is all kinds of video and audio evidence from credible paranormal groups, there's tons to learn from not to mention multiple witness accounts which also helps.

"The Hands Resist Him" by Bill Stoneham.

I remember something about this woman who’s into EVPs.
She has a doll - a clown - that she says is haunted.
It moves around the house by itself, etc.
She has a whole web page for it and everything.
I can’t believe I can’t remember her name.
She also went out and hunted down a clown doll that’s *related* to the original doll - it’s *haunted* too.
Geesh I’ll have to go to Dogpile (search engine - I don’t Google) and see what I can find!

This webpage has tons of stuff that you'll have to figure out for yourself if it's *real* or a hoax...but...it's freaky stuff none the less!
