Sorry you miss your Gran.
I miss my gramps.
I love using the tools he left me, chisels, saws and other carpentry stuff.
I love the smell of honey in the car he left me that he used for beekeeping.
I use his old drill bit tin for tobacco every day.
I laugh at how he would drive up a one way street the wrong way.
I remember seeing him getting drunk bottling ginger beer by sucking on a tube.
His old flying jacket is hanging in my wardrobe.
I'm proud he was the Captain of The Queen's Flight.(Elizabeth).
I'm proud he loved my Grandma till the day he passed away.
He taught me to Fly fish.
We stacked haybales together.
He got me tipsy on Scrumpy when I was just a sprat.
He taught me how to drive a tractor.
He was my Gramps.
Still with us, lost but not forgotten.
THAT is the closest we have for reincarnation imo.
Thanks for this.
Great story, reincarnation is true.Your gramps will be with you shortly

Sympathies to you and yours over the loss of your Grandmom.
There will never be another generation like them.
They have seen more changes than any other generation in our (known) history.
They know the real meaning of the word "work".
Our society will sorely miss their laughter, their drive, and their wisdom.
Honouring the memories of those great ones passed will only help us all.
You have honoured your Grandmom by posting this thread.
Its true, thanks for the input.Life is good.I will continue on being happy and strong, and exceptionally handsome.

I miss mine too, and other people
Do you ever "feel" her inside your self? That is to say, sometimes I feel almost like I'm acting more like my mom or dad or one of my grandparents than myself. I catch myself saying something one of them says/said, or using the same tone of voice, or just "feeling" like what that person "feels like." That's because they are a part of you. So she still lives on in you, OP: one-quarter of yourself is her! And you will "feel her" come out in you from time to time for the rest of your life, long after today. You will never forget her because you partially are her. She will always be with you in that way!
Isn't that wonderful?
