Space shuttle Endeavour makes final flight

www.theepochtimes.com

The space shuttle Endeavour landed on Earth on Wednesday for the final time, ending 19 years of service. There will be one final mission from the space shuttle Atlantis before NASA wraps up the 30-year-long program.

Endeavour touched down early on Wednesday morning after it conducted a 16-day mission to the International Space Station, which included the crew deploying and installing a $2 billion cosmic ray detector.

Endeavour completed its last and final mission as part of the bloated NASA space shuttle program. The crew installed a cosmic ray analyzer and did a few spacewalks.

There is but one more space shuttle launch that is slated for next month.

NASA will now focus on sending spaceships to asteroids and possibly Mars (to obtain more alien technology ... J/k-- kind of).

We didn't see much because of the clouds and the Visitor Center location but still a pretty cool morning:

I watched the landing live on NASA tv last night, got to say it made me sad to think there is only one left. An end of an era, I remember watching a movie called Spacecamp when I was younger and dreaming about going into space. They were brand new then and I for one was amazed at how advanced they were. It really is sad to watch them go now into the dust bin.

Now that NASA is stopping shuttle launches, we will see the vast corporate commercialization of space. We will be able to catch rides pretty soon!

This will be the beginning of a new space-age, too bad it will be for profit.
