If your wondering what the title is about. It is a qoute from Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN).

Bachmann’s Prayers Answered: ‘I’ve Had That Calling’ To Run For President

Bachmann: Well, every decision that I make I pray about as does my husband and I can tell you, yes, I've had that calling and that tugging on my heart that this is the right thing to do and because it's such a momentous decision, not only for myself, my husband and our 28 children, it is a momentous decision what ideas will I bring to bear? What are the resources that I have to marshal in terms of people, assets, the message and also the finances, the amount of time this will take, what this will mean for the nation. Am I the right person for the job? Every decision and every endeavor my husband and I have made we think it through, we're not rash people. We make a plan because we want to succeed, we don't want to fail and so we've been very deliberative in this process and that's why we're now coming to the culmination and next month, as I announced last night, I'll make that decision right here in Waterloo and the world will know.

What kind of tax burden is she on the government with 28 children? What would the White House be like with 28 children running around? I never knew she had that many kids. And I thought Octomom was bad.

Am I missing something here? I thought the biggest birth rate in the world was a maximum of 8 kids or something born to one women. Does she literally have 28 children?

If she does have 28 kids, the most logical explination I can think of is that most, if not all, are adopted.

So she gave birth to a few and adopted the rest?!?! How can adoption agencies let her do that. How can she possibly give 28 children enough love and attention at once. She can't.
Not only is this horrible, this is stupid.

Could you imagine the secret service details if she got into the White House? I guess they would need Air Sorce 1,2,3 and so on just to fly them around. Not to mention all the rooms that would have to be added to the White House for them to live there.

No, she didn't...

But if she did I'm guessing the last 15 would have fallen out rather than "popped".

LOL! Did people forget how to read on here, or is it just really late??

She gave birth to five (5) biological children, and has twenty three (23) foster children.

I don't even know what to say to this. That many kids to take care of at once is just ridiculous.
Anytime I see a family with more than ten kids (Octomom, Duggars...this lady), I think of that movie, Mine, Yours and Ours. The older version, I just couldn't comprehend it. That many kids??! Who does that?
Poor kids gotta eat their oatmeal sammiches...lol

WOW!
My first thought is that when people hoard pets, it's a sign of a mental instability. Hoarding children is at least as disconcerting to me.

I was going to look up more about her family and I came across this.

Michele Bachmann - Welfare Queen

What her followers probably don’t know is that Rep. Bachmann is, to use that anti-government slur, something of a welfare queen. That’s right, the anti-government insurrectionist has taken more than a quarter-million dollars in government handouts thanks to corrupt farming subsidies she has been collecting for at least a decade.
...
If American farms such as hers were forced to compete in the global free market, they would collapse.

It's an eye-opening article (it was for me, anyway)
Along with Bachmann, it details the welfare that Republican Senators Chuck Grassley and Sam Brownback and their families have accepted, all the while waving the warning flag of "evil socialism"... so no one else can get their slice of the pie. Not to mention the Democratic Senators, Max Baucus and Blanche Lincoln.

Republicans and conservative Democrats bitch and moan about the allegedly Marxist underpinnings of universal health care and do everything they can to deny struggling Americans access to social services. Meanwhile, many of them profit off taxpayers in a massive welfare program.
...
According to 11 years’ worth of Environmental Working Group data that tracks $200 billion in subsidies, the wealthiest 10 percent of “farmers” have collected 75 percent of the money. That’s exactly the kind of socialism that Rep. Bachmann and her elite ilk like.

Imagine my surprise that the (current) Tea Bagger Queen is a hypocrite Welfare Queen... has she taken the drug test? I guess it's OK that our tax dollars go to support this waste of protein, as long as she doesn't do socially condemned drugs.

My ex's grandmother had 21 children. All but two survived. The two that died were twins who died at birth. All in all, she had 3 sets of twins. He has A REALLY BIG FAMILY. LOL I couldn't tell you how many cousins he has. I don't think he knows for sure. The sad part is there were multiple (and I mean more than 2 or 3) different fathers, so this was no happy-go-lucky "duggar" family by any stretch of the imagination.

My best friend in grade school had 6 real brothers and sisters and her mother fostered 17. At any given time, they had around 25 people living in their home. Man, I loved being there.

Back on topic: And this woman is thinking she can run the country, care for her own 5 kids and keep fostering all those others? I know women are strong and can do just about anything--but let's be reasonable. I have 5 kids total and would never consider being president until the last one turned at least 15
Then again, when you're president, my guess is you could have all the nannies you would need.
