In this latest image there is an extremely oddly shaped object in the frame. Top right.

Either someone left a guitar out in space or that's some very strange space junk.

Any care to make a guess on what that is? Junk or UFO?

You know what it looks like? It looks like that piece of data got corrupted. If you look at it, directly...across(?)...from the "guitar" there is a piece of grayed out photo that looks identical to it. Maybe when they uploaded the photo on the website the information got corrupted.

Just my opinion.

I am not an expert...but it seems there are some pixels gone.

I checked it out on a couple different places and it does not look genuine...in my opinion.

I don't know though for sure, but it does not look good at all.

It's been fixed. I hit the link in the OP and got this

Maybe it was an upload artifact.

A NASA photoshop?
I saw that too. Could be a shadow? It looks like these picks are long exposures.
Don't know how that factors in.

I would not put it past NASA but then I don't really know what caused this to happen. Could be a shadow for all I really know about it. I looked at the other photo in the link that was provided (and yes it does have a different time stamp) and I could not find the same things anywhere (missing pixels, shadow, or whatever it is) so whatever the cause it is gone now. If it was a peice of actual space junk, it would have been enormous...like the size of a small planet, so I don't know. I would think if it was anything that big, someone would of caught it (there are alot of amature, and professional astronomers and sky watchers in the world) and we would have heard about it. Maybe?

I've looked at the soho images. You would be surprised at all the junk flying by the sun.
It's amazing how many things pass by the sun.
After checking soho for some time. That's the first time I've seen something out of the ordinary.

If it just appears in one frame, it's probably a cosmic ray
Here's another one.

It true the time stamp was different when I later hit the link, I did see the original one. As Pauligirl mentions, I read in the SOHO FAQ that one should see an anomaly in 3 consecutive images to rule out image artifacts from debris near the craft. The image had tell tale signs of an artifact.
