After watching this and many other videos of similar incidents, it seems to me that the "War on Terror" needs to be brought to the U.S., against the frakking PIGS.

They are the ones terrorizing the people, not the other way around. I've never been worried about some fools in caves on the other side of the world but I am worried about the lawlessness of the frakking pigs in this country.

Take it to the damned politicians too, as they are the ones who created some bogus law that these pigs can enforce in violent ways.

Freedom and liberty don't mean squat anymore, as we don't have either in this country.

This isn't a popular view...but people as a whole are not responsible enough or moral enough to live in a society where there are no laws. They have to be told that some things you can not do. This incident is just proof of that.

There will come a time when the Fascist will be trampling on your freedoms....what's sad, is that you asked for it! Give corrupt power an inch and they will take a mile.

So you believe there should be no laws?

You would embrace anarchy? I think you would find that you had less "freedom" with anarchy.

Wow.

So you absolutely care nothing about the Constitution.

What a sad time we live in.

:/

Please elaborate.

1. I don't need to peacefully assemble anywhere. I can bombard the politicians with letters and petitions. I don't have to ruin someones vacation by dancing around a memorial.

Because you "don't need to peacefully assemble anywhere," means that they can take your 1st Amendment rights

2. I'm glad that one would be hassled when purchasing a weapon. I don't want some nut-job running around my streets with an AK-47.

So you can feel safe, you don't care if 2nd Amendment rights are violated

3. Would you be a little perturbed if somebody randomly flipped you off? Why would I do that anyway?

Because someone might be offended, it is fine if 1st Amendment rights are infringed upon.

Wow. You go from one extreme to the other.

How about we follow the Constitution.

That is the ultimate point of freedom within a nation of laws.

Living in Washington for years, I can tell you the police don't care if you're white, black - they are trained to eliminate by any means necessary.

It's a genuine police state, and terrifying.

Place the blame on Obama if you want to, but a little research will show that this current wave of neocon fascism started with the Patriot act. Do you recall which administration started that opening to tyranny?

IMO, anyone who supports it is with it.

Both Bush and Obama.

Neither is innocent.

I hate to harp on this, but I'm sure there are surveillance cams, and the Code Pink t shirts stand out in a crowd. I would bet these guys knew full well they were dealing with Code Pink activists before they showed up on the scene. Or if they were already hanging around the building, it wouldn't take long for them to figure out what the agenda is.

Coming over to your side. Looks like peaceful isn't getting the point across. Of course we have to remember that not all leo are bad. There's good and evil everywhere. Even amongst those with a badge. I would love to see a serious study done on these types of offenses in relation to cops who are and not exmilitary. I wonder if this is a mil mentality or a wannabe. But of course I doubt any of this was debated when the shots that started the revolutionary were fired. Wether or not the british troops we evil or good or if all british troops would have done this. The act was committed and that was that. We never want to see war on our soil again even though 10s of thousands are killed in this nation every year. I think a good start would be just a mass noncompliance. Evryone not file taxes at all for one year. Or no one show up for elections. These need to be attempted before we go grab our guns .

First one, anti war activists at Pentagon. That's a no brainer, oh yes and the cops were soooo gentle with that one elderly lady. She was a real sport too looks like.

Second one, guy shouting out interrupting Sheriff Arpaio

Where are your vids of the SEIU guys attacking a guy in St. Louis?

Question for you. Does Sheriff Arpaio also have the right to free speech and assembly?
Reportedly there was a heckler following Paul Ryan around. No police there.

Do I really need to remind members who KNOW the rules that calling members trolls, disinfo agents or anything of the sort is not tolerated here and goes against ATS' mandatory Civility and Decorum within all topics!

Yeah, I see this crappy reasoning a lot. People that never protest, really don't care if the right gets taken away for everyone, it doesn't affect them(or so they think). People that always jump however high any authority figure tells them to, don't care, until they are at the wrong end of a beating for no good reason. People that don't exercise their right to bear arms could care less how it has been shredded to hell. Pisses me off.

I see people think that opinions they don't like should have their rights infringed upon, and that is sad as hell.

Precisely, and I still stand by this statement by C. S. Lewis.

“Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive.”

C.S. Lewis

And I'd like to throw this one in for good measure.

“"The liberties of our country, the freedoms of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards; it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors. They purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood. It will bring a mark of everlasting infamy on the present generation – enlightened as it is – if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of designing men." -Samuel Adams”

Thank you for your logical and realistic posts.

I mentioned earlier that we had more freedom in the 50s - - because we actually had less social acceptable freedoms. The more individual freedoms we get - - the more we become restricted. BECAUSE - - personal freedom requires responsibility. Irresponsible people taking advantage of freedoms - - is the reason laws to restrict are made.

I would love to live in a Utopia where all individuals are responsible. Wouldn't you? But we don't.
