the focus of the OP is on Her, not the current Speaker.

I get it. Because the last poster claiming you were correct did not follow your entire exchange with userid must mean that I was not following it either. Sorry, but I did actually follow your argument. Nothing about Nancy Pelosi being selected as speaker by Obama, being saved after election by Obama, or becoming president after Biden is "correct." Next time I will try harder to pay less attention to what you are actually saying and rely on a hodgepodge of "what I meant was...."

another example of an "unelected" POTUS is Gerald Ford.

He was elected to a House of Reps seat by voters in His small district.

He was appointed to be VP by Nixon, after the VP Agnew resigned.

Ford became POTUS when Nixon resigned !

again, Ford was not elected by national voters.

Ford lost to Carter in the 1976 national elections.

the Speaker position IS a very powerful office.

in Ford's case, the Minority Leader was.
