Gday ATS

Was just looking for some opinions on what you guys think is the best thread you've come across on ATS to date. The topic is irrelevant as I'm purely looking for a compelling read to sink my teeth into. I like a broad range of topics but have still thoroughly enjoyed some threads about topics I have no interest in, purely because of the ideas and debates that members post. I'm in a bit of a reading mood so want a page turner!

I can't really pinpoint my own favorite as so many threads appeal to me. Perhaps some of the long time ATSers can suggest a good thread as obviously they have had more time to explore this site. In saying that, as a veteran NewB myself im happy to consider all suggestions no matter your ATS age. Also if possible a link to your endorsed thread would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully this thread helps more people than just yours truly and we all can benefit in some way from the input. I'll star any replies with suggestions as hopefully this will entice more members to post and aid me in the search for the top thread on ATS

Cheers Every1 looking forward to your suggestions

Can't say I've heard of the caves in Arkansas let alone the stories that come with them. Will definitely look into it.
Thanks

Skyfloating's epic thread "Untersberg - The Mystery Mountain" is a cracker IMO,all about the history of this mountain, with myths,tunnels,dwarves/goblins and long dead kings, its a great read.

Lol I've actually visited a couple threads recently after being drawn in by the title. Page loads up and wouldn't you know it... 404 page not found!
Sux when they do that!
Any mods out there care to make a suggestion for this thread?

I remember when that thread was authored. I went into it but got sidetracked then had to go out. Never actually read it in the end. Thanks for the memory jog!

Great choice! I was glued to that thread a couple of weeks ago. I recall a theory from one member suggesting that the plant may have been used in ancient architecture achieving precision joins. Was only one of the many great posts and discussions in that thread. If anyone missed it, I also highly recommend!

Here's one I wrote that I like to think people will have enjoyed reading at some point.

I tried to send a good message by honoring those who have seemingly been forgotten over the years also thus making it an important thread for me personally.

A couple more for ya:

And if you like animals/pets,ATS pets:

I am sort of drawn to the this kind of thread,as they don't tend to degenerate into arguments and spitefulness/trolling.
Sadly,a lot of really meaty topics involving geo politics/foreign policy/extremists etc often end up full of arguments, rather than debate IMO.

I don't have one all time favorite although Skyfloatings Ancient Mars, which is in my signature could be considered my favorite.

I rotate my favorite threads in my signature every month or so but I do keep the one for Jkrog up at all times. He was a good friend of mine and I loved his work and dedication to the U/A forum.

As far as threads, anything by Skyfloating pretty much esp his ones in U/A and ancient civilizations.
