Is this thread still alive?
"A patent is a matter of money only. It does not mean the idea or product works or even exists off the paper it is written on. It's only to claim of
ownership should that idea or product begin making money.
A patent means nothing more than this and never has."
Who ever wrote that on an earlier page has NO CLUE what they're talking about.
(Yeah, I go back and review what I wrote and what others write.)
Never mind the Webster definition of a patent.
It's not just about money although long term it does play into it.
Intellectual Property is more then just money.
It's YOU the Consumer who decide what to buy... to make a change in the world whether your stealing the idea with minor changes,or have a whole new
approach to a concept. And buy it at a PROFIT from a Manufacturer.
There have been many patents applied for that could not be produced or manufactered at the time the patents were filed.
Here's an idea before patents were filed...The guy had no idea how to make it.
www.aviastar.org...
To say it's just for money is an insult to inventors who want to protect their designs and intellectual property, and to insinuate it's just for the
dough have obviously never been ripped off by unscrupulous international thiefs in the manufacturing world.
That post was extremely arrogant, with not shed of expreriance to back up the claim.
Yeah..come up with a good idea and protect it.. Why wouldn't you? I know..just give away every idea you think of and hope humanity is a better
place because of your idea. Yeah ..Great idea.
So? No one will invest, manufacture or buy into your idea because you give them away.
No PATENT protection.. So knockoffs are ready to go.
NICE Idea.. Not.
