I am new-ish to ATS

Let me introduce myself. I am 42y/o, traveled extensively, and can think for myself. I bet that means I am on a government watch list. The sheer paranoia of people astounds me. Why can't people think? Drugs are illegal only because people think that if it is legal that everyone will start using drugs. Fact, everyone who wants to do drugs are doing so. Legalize it! Tax it! Move along! Gay marriage is not legal because the same thoughts. "If gay marriage is legal, everyone will become Gay." I for one am not going to become gay if they make it legal. Besides, our Constitution says that they will not "respect the establishment of religion...", therefore should marriage (being a religious ceremony, taken on as a social norm, and then made into a civil statute) be recognized by the powers that be? People want to ban the legal ownership of guns because they think the criminals won't be able to get them? Think! They already have illegal ones? Why pass more useless laws? When something bad happens, idiots run to their gov't and want to take away rights. This country is really messed up!

Personal Disclosure: Welcome! OL is sure a mod will be along soon to help out with an informative post etc. I also recommend utilizing the green chat voyuer function on the ATS tool bar to the bottom of most ATS webpages [aka the ribbon]! It will enable you to watch who and what is being posted in chat but unfortunately you wont be able to join or chat back until your post count reaches 200 posts or so.

If you're like me you've probably already been hanging out here for a year at least. Glad you decided to join us by sharing your thoughts and information.


For now you can reply to any thread in any member forum you wish, as well as send & receive (PM's) Private Messages to Staff only for now. Once you have achieved 20 posts, you will then be able to start your own threads and additionally send & receive messages to and from fellow ATS members. Please don't make 20 meaningless post just to achieve this. It happens soon enough.
