MegaMan 2... almost all of the soundtrack less a song or two... anyone who doesn't think MegaMan had some of the best music doesn't deserve to play video games!

so so true....megaman had some of the best music ever. i miss the days of games having to take real skill to finish. now days the game maps out where to go and how to win for you.

Gotta make it Serious Sam SE music.

I will forever associate this with some of the best games I've had in my life. And every single memory is playing against people in the US (in AUS here) with a 300+ms ping, and being with the best people I've ever played.

I wish ths game was still the way it was... awesome fun it was.

Metal Gear Solid Theme (from MGS2: Sons of Liberty)

Beautiful piece of music.

FFX is beautiful also. I had both "Zanarkand" and "Suteki Da Ne (Wonderful, Isn't It?)" in my wedding!! They sound great just on piano.

The MGS theme is awesome on Violin!

Personally, I found the soundtrack for GTA San Andreas (and when i say soundtrack, I mean the radio stations you can listen to while driving) were the best. I know this isn't along the theme of the thread of main story music, however, the thing I especially liked was you could switch between music/talk (the talk radio is hilarious!) when you got bored! I highly reccommend the game, not jsut for the music, but it is pretty cool!

I remember reading somewhere that the Super Mario Bros. Theme was the worlds most popular ringtone. It just won't leave your head! Now, it's stuck in yours...Bwa ha ha ha!

The one that get's in my head the most is the Zelda theme, but Ninja Gaiden also had some legendary tracks that are now being used all over the place in the music industry. But for down right greatness in atmospheric music I would have to say Super Metroid was amazing for the time, I almost pooped my pants when I heard the music in Merida. Just great for 16 bit. Edit to add Castelvania 4 the cave sequence music as well.

Agree , agree , agree best music in a game Ive every heard luv it and have all the sounds took while to get it all but I did , even made some of my own silent hill theme songs.
