Images from the Great Pyramid's 'chamber of secrets '

I had a thought about these markings, could these have been made at the quarry where the blocks were taken from, possibly indicating which block to take next, or something similar? Because the shafts are so narrow, I would be hard pressed to believe that the markings were made after they block was placed. If indeed they were made prior to being placed, such at the quary, there could be more of the markings that are not seen, because the markings would be hidden by other connecting blocks.

Might this enigmatic symbol found at the end of the southern shaft of the Queen's Chamber of the Great Pyramid be symbolising a comet, perhaps the comet that created the massive Burckle Crater around 4,800 BCE?
