I know I'm asking for flmaes but seriously... it perplexes me that someone would pray and beg not to be taken to eternal paradise in heaven? "please... oh S^@$!! don't take me to eternal bliss and paradise! oh god no!!!". I'm not religious, but if I were I'd be thinking SWEEEEET I'm comin' home daddy!

I think regardless of your faith, be it Christianity, Islam, Judaism etc, if a time comes when you're confronted with death not of natural causes then human instinct kicks in and its either going to be fight or flight and if you're backed into a corner with no where to go then you're going to fight.

And in that situation I'm guessing you'll pray to whatever deity you believe in and hope that your "God" saves your life.

It's not a hoax.. that guy is just a troll.
He said himself if it's not conclusive he considers it's a hoax.
If he used a better system, for instance, common sense he would lean towards it being genuine.

It's genuine, I promise.

Yeah when he says that it really hits home that the guy really honestly thinks he's about to die.
I'm certainly glad this ended up with everyone being ok, but consider the mood this tape would carry if it was discovered far from the site and there weren't any survivors.

I with you and Sara. S & F by the way.

I don't agree with most organized religion down to every letter, verse or chapter; but no one is a atheist when they think they are facing their last moments of life.

I got a knot in my throat hearing these people, ordinary people like us, comfort and console each other, and caring for each other.

It is a tribute to us crazy, irrational, mean at times and petty humans, that when the worst is happening the best in most of us shine out in the darkness.

Thank you for this Burn.

Explanation: St*rred!

I had occassion and opportunity to revisit this thread and I rewateched the entire video whilst following along with my transcription of the events in the video and I noted it had exactly the same profound effect it had on the 1st time I watched and transcribed it.

I am bumping this thread to highlight and underline the facts that when shtf big time that most people are generally mostly good and mostly caring even in the midst of hell on earth!

It is inspiring to say the least!

Personal Disclosure: Maybe all is not lost ok!

Be excellent to one another and party on my fellow ATS members!

P.S. Do any members local to Joplin have any word of mouth updates they can provide as to how Joplin has fared since that tragic event?
