I'm american... so I already had capitalism inscribed in my bones. They have the possibility of freedom here- it IS a capitalistic economy (some precision for those who have heard the rumor it is a socialist one).
I was amazed at all the aid and and incentive they offer anyone who is willing to take a risk and try to create more business! It isn't possible, in the US, to get all the unemployment you paid into through the years back in a lump sum for investing in a business!

But they have this system where protection and full security is possible too, if you want that. The more protection you are willing to give up, the more freedom you recieve. It is actually quite logical, I think.

I personally am of the opinion as someone else said- much of the people tend to whine too much. They have no idea how good they have it.

The one big problem I would say they have is the way they have tried so hard to appease the Islamists, and went overboard where the Islamists now have more rights than the french and walking all over them.

But a revolution would give the Muslims the opportunity to step into power.

I wish the OP godspeed, but since this country has a bigger middle class than a lower class and higher class, and the middle class will not want to take part (many kind of think a revolution is called for when the split between low and middle class gets huge, with no middle class, like the USA) they might have a hard time achieving it.

I think the young people would do better getting invovled in politics, voting, etc. But that is just my personal opinion.

I find it difficult to convince some of the youth I know here in America that they are slaves. They think they have it better than the rest of the world and that's all they can hope for. They think there is no better way. Adults tell them that the other ways have been tried and failed. The adults tell them this is what's best for them.

The few youth who are able to see the hole they are in are either pessimistic or sadistic. They are also products of the hole.

We have already seen how the media is trying to undermine the revolution, but now time to see how the government reacts, whether it will use violence, and whether protesters will bow down to the crack down.

I doubt if these people understand how serious revolutions can turn into a total colapse of eocnomy and government which will lead to violence anyways.

Almost all revolutuons are stopped with wars and violence.Just the reailty of it.Hopefully the good side wins.

I agree completly. Many of us from what I read feel the same way. We just have to do it. Minds can be changed you just have to use the right words.

We need this change in the World.

Because of resistance, i'm proud in France that we have resisted against nazi occupation.
But today the things are different. I respect your choice, but i thing government will not hear you because of his interests. But i repeat, i'm happy to see there some guys like you who calling for his rights.
