I don't buy that; Egypt has been trying to kick Mubarak out for nearly two decades. Ben Ali had been a problem for Tunisia far longer than that. Qadafi only ever served the interests of the wealthiest portions of his society. The Palestinians have recently found out that their own leaders have been planning to sell them out. Syrians have been trying to get more liberty out of the Baath regime since the 70's. if these uprisings are actually something launched by the CIA or whoever you want, then all they did was touch a match to a pile of explosives that hte people themselves had been preparing for years, and had about as much control over the results.

Give the people of these nations some credit; They want what's good for themselves just liek you want what's good for yourself.

I don't really understand how anyone's taking sides here, unless it's due to religious bias. Last I knew, both sides were killing each other's children. Additionally, they hate each other and they both want the same land. How the heck can you take sides when they're both acting the same and have the same agenda (as far as attaining land)?

I do have a religious bias as I'm Christian and, sorry, but the Jews had the land first. But I don't support war whatsoever and think both sides are being evil. So how is it that anyone is taking sides here?

I agree. Who do you think could live together and who's religious beliefs "Allow" them to live together? I have nothing against Muslims but they seem to hate everybody else who isn't a Muslim and I don't see how peace can come from that.
