TSA to oversee searches at high school prom

www.blacklistednews.com

Saturday night, a certified TSA official will be at the Santa Fe High School prom to oversee student searches.

This all comes after two Capital High School students, sisters, filed a lawsuit saying they were groped by a security agent at Capital High School's prom last month. On Friday, the court ordered Santa Fe Public Schools and the security company ASI to provide at least one TSA certified person at the Santa Fe High School prom and the Capital High School graduation.

If I were a parent of any kid going there to that prom my child wouldn't be going knowing that the TSA would be having anything to do with it. The court ruling should be challenged in this case. And in any case(s) where the court specificys that any person from the TSA should be involved. Just more cohersion from those who sit on the courts helping these thug agencys get their hooks into the private sect.

Sounds like A REALLY good reason for the parents of the students to band together, rent a hall and have their OWN dance off school property with a much better band

It is really about time for people to start voting with their feet. A boycott of the dance would send a good message!

This is just preconditioning of our youth to get them accustomed to their futures.

Start with the kids when they're young and soon enough, it becomes the norm in their lives so the Govt. will have no problem controlling them when they're adults.

I hope the parents fight this because if they don't, it will be seen as acceptable by their children and therefore it must be ok.

BTW, there will be patdowns.

I hope they fight...but I highly doubt it.

Exactly. Just telling your kids they cant go to their Senior Prom (which means alot to some kids) is not the right think to do.

Fight the power, complain, and make things right. Stop it here, and now.

This is 100% outside of mandate. The TSA is a Transportation Security Agency. Would have been more appropriate to hire off duty police.

Did the judge request the TSA official on site to ensure the groping was done correctly?

And so it begins.

I remember a thread awhile back about the TSA. Someone was defending the TSA (probably a TSA employee or shill) by saying they are only at airports, and you don't have to fly.

Several people said how they wouldn't stay confined to Airports for long, and will soon spread around every inch of this country. TSA defender laughed that idea off. Now it's happening. There is talk of TSA being deployed in greater and greater roles around the country.

The TSA and Homeland Security are the new SS and Gestapo. Welcome to the Fourth Reich people.

Very good point.

Although they probably didn't want the students murdered, they only wanted them demoralized and violated, so the TSA was a better choice. Hire a cop to do the dirty work and you'd probably end up with a few dead bodies by the end of the night. They'd probably blow some kid's head off for trying to sneak in a bottle of booze.

When is High school involved with transportation? It should be the department of education that oversees such activity.

I agree 100%. I hope there do just that. A boycott of the prom sounds good to me.

This was a ridiculous ruling! However,

No TSA Agents at Prom, Despite Ruling

But it wasn't because they came to their senses or the parents protested:

There were no TSA agents patting down students at the Santa Fe High School prom on Saturday night, despite a federal judge's ruling that there had to be.
...
"With it being late Friday afternoon, there just wasn't time to achieve that," Santa Fe superintendent Bobbie Gutierrez said.

Gutierrez said instead of TSA agents, the court is allowing Santa Fe High School to use state police for the prom.

TSA - Total Sexual Assault

However they have no business calling these folks in for pat downs.

Hello, Alex Jones was right, we are headed right into a police state!

Riding on the back of the "there will be retaliation for the Obama killing" bandwagon, you will very soon be seeing these people at shopping malls, train stations, even churches soon. You will not be able to move in the US without having your papers on you, and without being "patted down" at least twice a day.

The police state has arrived.

Time for you Americans to pull together and change your world. Demand change. Look to Spain for inspiration. Don't let us down people, the rest of the workd looks at the US for cues. If other governments see your politicians getting away with this it will spread like wild fire!

Unite! Fight!

(Edit to say - How would I get a job at the TSA, sounds like fun at this time of year! LOL)

What!? A "TSA certified personnel" will somehow make the groping better??

Neither the school-hired security service (who may or may not have a standard pat down policy) nor any person "TSA certified" in pat down should be patting down prom goers! Who the hell convinced the school district to pay out tax dollars to a business for this function? What do we have now...the education security complex??

RCMP used to be at our H.S dances to spray stuff on our hands and if it turned blue it mean you had THC of your hands and were smoking marijuana lol

What year was that?

I never experienced it.

Simple solution, let a male and female LOCAL police officer who have children attending the school do security and patdowns. At least then it won't be someone anonymous doing it. There is likely to be more diligence and less creep factor.
