Whata hypocrite reaction with a signature like this:

first off. that is a paraphrase of a popular poem by a VIDEO GAME. one of my favorite games called "Portal". The original poem is about consoling a mother over the untimely loss of her children. that hardly makes me a hypocrite. secondly, people have killed themselves over this crap, and hes taken alot of money in donations.

his lies have directly ended lives and made him rich, so i think its only fair for his money and life to be taken. you can't scream "fire" in a crouded place, cause pointless deaths with a lie, and get away with it. its wrong, and he should pay the consequences.

Next week you'll have the flying rubber doll posted over in the UFO and Alien Forums as sighting.

Just watch it.

Yes and no - I think their main motivation was trying to mitigate the fallout likely already occurring from the failure of Camping's prediction.

A lot of those people quit jobs, got rid of their savings, left nothing for their young and as-yet unborn children. Sad sad stuff.

A lot of damage control will be needed, and I believe this is their intent in being present - not to 'poach' anything as these people are likely turnips with no blood to give at this point. Please be mindful that a good many churches actually offer a lot of good to the world, via charity work, helping the destitute, community outreach and counseling programs, teaching modern techniques in the third world and the like.

Be well.

I don't know that he personally has "gotten rich" as a result of donations. The IRS records say as far as they can tell, he personally didn't get any of the 80 million in donations it received in the last few years. But yes.. 80 million is a lot of money to take in, to spend on pointless projects like putting billboards in countries around the world, and broadcasting in those countries.

He won't be held responsible - too many religious folk would raise a unholy storm of hate towards anyone who tried to make him pay for his beliefs. I personally feel he at a minimum, should never be allowed to head up any effort to make the "world aware" of any upcoming "events" he figures to have deduced by his bible studies. Obviously, he is in no position to be making those sorts of predictions.

I totally agree, Camping is a pretty harmless man, so it is an easy target...

I also agree. the fact of the matter is it will happen but not sure if in our lifetime or the next 200 years.

My guess is 2016.

I am Christian but have found that the Jewish calendar is Precise and hasn’t been wrong yet. Ive even had some discussions on here with Muslims who see the exact same end time prophecies taking place before our eyes.. It isn’t a joke.

I agree that many people will need some Counseling after the rapture didnt happen yesterday. I just hope they didnt tell their kids. That may freak them out. I had a May 21st party starting at 2:00 p.m my time, which was midnight Jerusalem time. I didnt think the rapture would occur this day and didnt mock God, being a Christian and having a party. We didnt tell the kids what we were doing but I admit we kept watching the kids thinking what happpens if only one of us was left here with the survival crap. Just playing a lot of "What if's" Our next big one will be in 2012, unless we decided to have a volcano party next weekend.

We shouldnt bash this old guy. I took some Bible theology in college and also tried to figure out the date but there was always a small Obstacle in the way, as if the formula could never be figured out Intentionally.

Your kidding me right?

What have you done to fight the good fight to protect liberty. About the same as me, which isn't all that much. Same goes for the people who stared this post.

The old man knew exactly what he was doing. Religion is big business - cashing in like lots of other scam artists....not going to feel one big sorry for one taking advantage of people with weak minds (just the same as the government and bankers taking advantage of fools with mixed variable interest rates)

That's great! Love the pics of balloons and rapture dolls. Priceless... There was no escaping this event. The news of the impending doom anyway. There is a local cable access channel here that runs ads and what not. A couple of days before said rapture local churches were running ads of doom and gloom with e-mail addresses to boot. Two of them were ebiblefellowship.com, and familyradio.com. Friday night, on the way to Family Video with my kids we passed a gas station and I noticed a white truck with: "Judgement Day, May 21st" plastered on the side in a really large font. Wonder if it was painted on? Didn't pull in and talk to them, thought if people want to believe in strange things, why not let them. I'm not about to cast judgment.

Harold Camping (OIiver Crangle) and this whole Rapture debacle reminds me of an episode of the Twilight Zone. The one entitled "4 O'clock." I'm not going to give the ending away for people who haven't yet seen it. I'll just say it is a case of tragic irony.

What? You think an American could never admit to making a mistake? I am American and make mistakes all the time...

Let go of your clearly prejudiced feelings about the US... You are only showing that you know NOTHING about teh US and it's people and only make yourself look foolish... You spreading your hate, does not make the US look bad....

FYI.

Really? This is what you find disgraceful?

What I find disgraceful is that a senile (fact?) old man took time out of his life to take millions of dollars in donations from innocent but gullible people.

Is everyone getting a rapture refund check now? No, probably not. All those people that cashed in their life savings or sold everything they owned gonna have a place to live?

It sounds to me like he wasn't really senile at all, that he knew what he was doing.

I personally hope he kills himself. I just hope he gives back what he stole first.

www.nowtheendbegins.com... (make sure to check out the comments too)

P.s..I will agree on one point in your post though, we are a bunch of sissies when it comes to standing up to the government. Or maybe too many are blind. either way, you are right about that, it doesn't happen enough here.

They aren't working because of the popularity of ATS, blame the large user-base.

Also I find it hypocritical that we're suddenly not allowed to criticise Camping because of his age, does he get a free pass for staying alive so long? Ageists.

@op, they wont be back until you re-up them I think.

No all those who donated to the old man's May 21st prediction will not get refunds. Giving to God gives you back 10 fold, better than playing the stocks. It's gone to a good cause to spread the word. No God refunds allowed all goes to help the needy.

Personaly I think he will be held responsible for what he preached and has done. Many many people in good faith from his teaching gave up jobs and money and sold everything to get the word out. Look at Manson he did not kill anyone but he is in prison for preaching to the family to hellter skelter.

Photos not working? I can see them just fine.
And they're dandy!

Camping, come out of the woods. We know you did not get raptured.
He needs to pay for these stupid games he's playing.

Like I mentioned in another thread, a lady called into a radio show sobbing. She stopped everything to follow Camping... and she believed this would happen. Yes, stupid for anyone to do that but how many other lives has he ruined.

I say JAIL, without the possibility of MASS COMMUNICATION!

Never again.
