Thats exactly what I thought of when I heard he disappeared himself pre-rapture.

I read he's made 120mil since 2005. I also heard he only( ) spent around 100mil in advertising. So, no rapture and nowhere to be found with approximately 20 million dollars...

Besides, what's a really old man going to do with whatever profit he made? He's probably not going to be around much longer.

If this were Vegas, and I could find someone booking odds on whether these theatrical Virginish Maryish sightings and the elusive Mr. Camping's future plans were somehow connected, I would get in on that action. It was only after I found out he's worth tens of millions of dollars that I connected the two, and I can't be sure, but I just have the feeling all that business was something like a dress rehearsal for a bigger show.

The type of people who follow him are the type that follow blindly. They'll make excuses for him and keep on following. A few are mad. I heard a lady on the radio who was crying and said she stopped everything and gave everything up to follow him. But I think most of his followers will just say, Oh he just made another mathematical error. We still believe in Jebus and rapture.

People are so easily feared into believing absurd BS that religion has become the best scam nowadays. Harold Camping just took advantage of it like the rest of the "prophets" and con artists who sell faith to the weak minded people. They literally live off other people's fears, prejudices and stupidity. Even after every prediction fails people still return to them like heroin addicts return to heroin after nearly dying from it.

I would like to make 2 points. First off, anyone that followed him have no one to blame but themselves. Jesus spoke on false prophets and no man knowth the day or hour. I don't feel bad for those people one bit. Second, I am gonna make a prediction of my own; somehow the government and MSM are gonna lump Camping in with conspiracy theorists. They are gonna say the same thing you guys say about Camping, about ATS and the like. This is gonna be the excuse the government uses to regulate internet speech because they need to "protect" those mentalily unstable from being lead by wild theories.

What you say has been argued many times, in court and out of court. I can't quite come to grips with which camp I align myself with though, whether it is with the "he conned people out of hundreds of millions and should be made to pay for that" ... or with the "no one told them to do this, its not his fault they did" camp....

In some ways I agree with the former, but in a lot of ways, there is value (monetary and knowledge) to the latter....sometimes the only way back UP, is to go all the way down....

I heard a report on the radio this morning where the guy from staten island who gave up his entire life savings to posts billboards was asked what he was going to do now? He said "wellll, I'm not sure why it didn't happen the way it was supposed to and the when (he was obviously a TRUE believer and was confused), but I'm going to go do the dishes"....

THAT should say a lot, to everyone who fell for this, that, come tomorrow, you will still have the dishes to do.
