Macho Man Randy Savage died in car crash today .

TMZ spoke with Randy's brother, Lanny Poffo, who tells us the wrestling legend suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 9:25 AM ... and lost control of his vehicle.

Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler when he veered across a concrete median ... through oncoming traffic ... and "collided head-on with a tree." Savage was transported to Largo Medical center, where he died from his injuries.

He was a funny and great guy, and always had a great speech. We will miss you. R.I.P. Randy

well done my friend for paying your respects with this thread.

Indeed another childhood hero gone. Many times of fun were had watching him perform and I am glad to say I was witness to his work back when I was a kid.

Who will be next is the question my mate just asked me.

Toll the bell ten times and give a "oooooooh Yeeeeeeahhhh"
