About the world ending Saturday

It's just a test to see how the world will cope with the real coming Apocolypse in 2012 if we all just go about our daily life on Saturday then they don't have to fight the coming zombie apocalypse or alien invasion

There is going to be a lot of harm that comes from this. Think about the people who sold their homes and all thier possesions and gave the money to this guy. When they are not taken on Sat as promised they will have nothing. They did to to themselves of course but that doesn't stop me from feeling bad about it. They will be devastated.

It will never be as good as the biggest money making scam ever: the millenium bug hoax. That scam was that good it chained around the globe and the clever folk ripped off the gullables

Apparently this has been spread about the world and people are ripping of the gullables. Same thing differen't apocalypse.

I'm pretty sure that the bible says no one will know when it's coming, so for a christian group to decide on an exact date seems a little like blasphemy or something. Just sayin.

As for bothering kids, I think more kids are bothered by the zombie warning from the CDC.
I seen a few on youtube that are actually worried about it.

Then throw judgement day on top of that... Good work to everyone for thinking of the children

I think it is all just a test to see how North American people will react under the threat of total annihilation.

But I have heard that on May 21st a lot of people are supposedly going to be taken up to Heaven, while the rest of us are left here until the destruction of the Earth on Oct. 21st... But still even if this is just a test to see how people would react I think it is wrong to publish this in major publications where children can see it.

I do however believe that something big is going to happen in the next few weeks/months.
I live in Toronto Canada and here I have noticed a tremendous increase in the number of police roaming the city. In the last six days I have counted 17 federal cars, at least 70 completely unmarked police crusiers, and not to mention the military soldiers stationed outside of the Mississauga City Hall...

I don't know whats going on, but it just seems really strange to all of a sudden have such an increase in police presence..

Is this going on anywhere else?

My nine year old son saw one of those stupid billboards about the rapture on May 21st. He then had a talk with my other son (who is only 6) about it. They both approached me after their conversation with a look of trepidation on their little faces and said the following: "Mommy, is something really gonna happen to all of us on May 21st? Remember, thats your birthday and we really want to have cake..."

It took all I had not to laugh out loud. Then I thought about it for a moment and got mad. Whoever thought (or didn't think) about how this message might scare children is an idiot. If you feel the need to spread a message like this, do it in an adult setting or something. Not billboards and buses that kids can readily see. Luckily when I explained to my kids that it was just some man trying to scare people (and we would still have cake) they went on about their day.

I think the copying of the Bible has been tampered with so much, I can't imagine an accurate date prediction from it. I also don't believe in the supernatural mystical aspect of the Jesus story and his return.

BUT, I do believe it could refer to an ET "return", perhaps the Annunaki, or someone.
And May 21 is not the END, but the "rapture".
So, let's say the ET's come, and "take back" their hybrids, and fellow ET's from the Earth.
The END date is October 19th, I think.
OK, so, the ETs come, take back their people, THEN "destroy" the planet on the 19th of Oct, or kill off the people, THEN, they can repopulate the Earth with their people.

Makes WAY more sense than "Jesus returning", and "the rapture".

I didn't hear about kids freaking out over the zombie thing. I would rather have the Zombie Apocalypse then have revelation play out. Much easier to survive! I guess it could happen. But I would think it would play out somethinkg like the crazies or 28 days later. Not actual animated dead corpses that eat brains.

Thank you. I was able to make her see reason. But how many other people refuse to or have nobody to help them keep their fear in check? I still think it is a ploy to make people panic and spend all their money stocking up for an apocalypse.

I certainly agree with the people here who are very rightly concerned about the affects on young children. To the extent that these people fearing mongering in this sort of way should be prosecuted to the full extent of what ever law possible.

Education, Education, Education is the only answer it is difficult too protect the stupid from the stupid.

I am in the far east and it is on local news today the level of education here is poor for the vast majority of people. However they think people from the west are crazy so it will most likely have little effect. When they see things like this who can blame them.

Yes that and the fact that this man is stealing peoples money should get him prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Maybe when nothing happens he will be. But yeah I agree, this is not good for the children. I would imagine the ones who are actually traveling with these people are basically being controlled. "Don't do this or God wont take you." things along those lines and that is cruel
