I can see internet activity dropped to nearly 70% today...

Something weird happening today , i see less online friends on all my messengers, less posts compared to my experience on the net. is there some international under sea fiber cut or something...

is any one else experiencing the same...

Personal Disclosure: Its most probably people both christians and non christians preparing for the possible Rapture on the 21st of this month..which for me is less than 24hrs away [OL is in Australia]. I recommend using ATS serach function and the search terms "Rapture 21st May 2011". I hope that helps.

i knw abt the rapture its 48 hrs frm my country india.

but i really dnt think people will go offline for rapture. they should be online to wish and pray for their friends and family and search the net for survival options. or it may happen that they started moving to the hills... no mobile network, no internet ........

no internet for a while here aswell... other than that; sunny day... couple of friends had a website up with a countdown to that silly 21may thingie. someone notice the clock is 13:37, 10seconds later theres a thunderstorm, with one lightning strike, then its gone in 5min and suny weather again....

Explanation: I am undecided on the matter! If it happens... then a lots going to change overnight! If it doesn't then there was no harm in preparing anyway!

Looks like traffic in Asia is a little slower than average. North America a little down but steady. The are quite a few routers (etc) around the world that has the potential to slow/shutdown the net for large groups of people but any single failure would certainly not bring down the entire internet.
